• Reliable quality.
• Access road is a little confusing.

“I have made it a habit to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott whenever I go back to the Altoona area. Its consistently reliable quality is a relief -- especially because it is located in an economically depressed area where higher quality hotel rooms are in short supply.”

• The construction in the local area was terrible, making travel difficult. The cost of items at the snack bar is too expensive.

“I've stayed at this hotel on my travels to Altoona, PA and I must admit, its the only one I would ever consider in this area. You get what you pay for but the cost of items at the snack bar and bar are way over priced.”

• I liked everything! The room was attractively decorated and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Loved the closet mirrors!
• I tried to connect to the internet in my room with no success. I did not pursue it since we were tired; we just went on to bed.

• No restaurant so no 3* just 2 1/2.

“I loved everything about the hotel except that they block access to making reservations with other hotels on the free computer in the business center that is
really tacky and turned me off to staying at Marriott & Courtyard.”

• Spacious room, large flat-screen TV and mini-fridge.
• Internet (through wire) was slower than what I'm used to; no free breakfast.

“Attached to the County Convention Center, hotel is a solid performer for a business traveler. I always appreciate a mini-fridge in the room if I'm staying more than one night and my room had one. Indoor pool and hot tub really helped in relaxing after a 15 hour day. Staff was very friendly. Didn't try to see if wireless internet was available in the room. Wired internet was a little bit slower than what I'm used to. Breakfast featured many items including made-to-order eggs, but was $9 so I went to McDonald's. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your travel takes you to Altoona, just under two minutes (two turns) off of I-99.”

• Exceedingly pleasant accommodations.
• Out of the way location.

“This hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. It offered far more than what I expected. The only disappointments were a small indoor pool and service at breakfast that was spare and grudging. Having stayed at a number of other local hotels I can say that this is the class of the bunch.”

• Could not reach front desk from phone in room. Just kept getting a dial tone.

• Friendly helpful staff, lots of pillows.
• Hallways uncomfortably warm, bathrooms should be clean, bed was uncomfortable.

“Finding entrance road was a little tricky, especially at night (sign not lit). Lobby was overly cool (desk staff wore sweaters). Waited over half hour for luggage cart - only two on hand. Staff was quite accommodating. Easy access to shopping.”
