• Location was great. Centrally located to where we needed to be.

• The staff was extremely friendly.
• It was over priced.

“We stayed here because it was the last hotel available. It was out dated and uncomfortable. The room was very small. However, the staff was friendly and accommodating.”

• Close to UVA Medical Center.
• To much of a hang out, and rundown rooms.

“Great location to UVA. Had to have a room on short notice cause my son had emergency knee surgery. The room was ok. Semi-clean. To much of a hangout around the pool. People drinking. Tub was dirty, cob webs and spiders in corners. Great air conditioning. Would not stay here again. Great staff.”

• Its location is close to UVA hospital.
• Water damage to wall under sink sink stopper was broken sink and tub needs a good cleaning carpet needed cleaning.

• The pool was clean and family friendly.
• My room was dirty upon arrival and my second room had an insect problem.

“Although we loved the pool, the rest of the hotel was fairly disappointing. Our assigned room was uncleaned when we entered so we were given a room by the pool. This was nice until we experienced insects, over and over. No explanation for the insects, but it continued the entire 3 days we were there. The bathroom is in desperate need of updating and the linens on the bed were disgusting at best. If it was not for the fact that we spent very little time in the room, we would have certainly switched to a different hotel.”

• The size of the bed.
• The ripped wall paper, small walking space, slow internet, shower liner was loose.

“The stay was nice, but at the time there was no ac. the towel service could have bin better. I would stay there again!”

• Highly overpriced, rooms not cleaned, lamps did not work, little hot water.

“Water in shower only lukewarm, trash on floor never cleaned. Two lamps did not work--and the list goes on and on. NEVER again.”

• It had a nice pool, good location, and friendly staff.
• The bed was falling apart, old coffee still in the coffee pot, asked for non-smoking, twice, and did not get it.

“I did not have a good experience overall. The bathroom and sink area need to be replaced instead of adding even more caulk and glazing. The coating on the tub was flaking off. I have paid less for better.”

• Nothing.
• Filth, water under bathtub, missing sheets, no towels, poor service, no air-conditioning in august, etc.

“This is the worst hotel I've ever used. My threat to my kids now is: "If you don't shape up we're going to stay at a Days Inn". I thought my kids were confused about 'water under the bathtub' until I read about it in another review. Maybe the staff is friendly but, I don't know. But I do know it only takes 3 phone calls to get missing towels brought to your room. A bottom sheet on the bed is an apparent option as well. I guess I should have signed up for that in advance. The air conditioners are great at making noise but not so much as to cooling the air in August. The empty beer bottles and cigarette butts on the walkway outside my room were nice too. ”

“The room was atrocious to say the least. The chair in the room was so dirty it was almost black (I'm not even exaggerating). The ceiling was cracked and sagging, looked like it could come down any minute. The bathroom sink was cracked and filthy. The carpet was filthy and tattered. ”

• The Red Lobster that is attached to the motel.
• It was not as clean as I would have liked.

“The motel is obviously an older building and in need of some serious updates. One of our beds was broken, the rug was matted, the bathroom had mold growing on the walls, the tub was stained. Also, the tub/toilet area was so small you could barely close the door. We will definitely not be using Days Inn motels in the future.”

• The facility itself was wonderful. Polite desk workers.
• Very poorly maintained. The pool was gross. Loud and obnoxious drunk people.

“The hotel itself is in a good location and has the potential for being a good two star. However, maintenance needs work, especially the pool. Some of the workers from the restaurant were very rowdy in the pool area. The placed just seems poorly managed. It's too bad, because it really has potential.”

• Good location, close to the university.
• Smelly and dirty.

“I have stayed in several hotels in Charlottesville and this was, by far, the worst. The room was dirty (hair in the sink that wasn't mine), the sheets had a footprint on them, and the toilet ran intermittently. Also, the bedspread smelled so badly like feet that I had to remove it from the bed in order to sleep. Overall, this was a pretty bad experience, I wouldn't stay here again.”

“Lacking cleanliness, far too much money for the filth, could have stayed at econ lodge for far less for that level. Would not stay here again, especially not for that Price! I did appreciate getting a room however, since all others seemed to be booked that night.”

• It was very hot in my room and no one could fix the AC.

• Close to the university of Virginia. Responded quickly to problems and complaints.
• Doors to the outside, not a hallway.
