“1 star hotel, which is what you are going to get. As I selected this hotel for the low cost and free internet, I was rather dismayed that the wireless did not work. Also the cable was not working during my stay. The lack of frills was to be expected but given the internet connection, I would not recommend staying at the super 8.”

• Close to hospital.
• I did not get a handicap room.

“Reserve a handicap room, did not get one,we had no more money, so we had to stay. I fell getting out of the tub. Owner offered us 25.00 and sign a waiver, I was hurt so I went to see a doctor,now I have hospital and doctor bill and the owner refuses to pay and Super 8 doesn't care either. We are a low income family and I don't know what we are going to do.”

“Neither myself nor my friends and family would recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. The stay at this hotel was so extremely unpleasant.”

• Easy to locate and close to attractions (shopping, restaurants, university).
• Run-down and out of date (stains on walls, loose faucets in bathroom).

• Near the airport.
• Not clean, staff not good, no service or breakfast.

“Not clean, service was slow, there was a sign at the vending machine - "Buy at your own risk". No bread available in the morning, only coffee.”

• No staff at check in desk. No answer on phone.

“I tried calling to tell them I would be there in a short while. At approx 3 pm in afternoon, no one answered phone, I drove to the hotel, no one at desk. I was forced to go to another place.”

“The location of the hotel is very good as it has all amenities around it. However, the facilities provided inside the hotel are not up to the mark.”

• No fridge/micro bad fixtures and temperature control in shower.

• Bathroom could've been cleaner.

“Overall, this hotel was fine for the money. During my stay, the hotel was under construction. The construction was noisy and things were messy. This is a low cost, no frills place. It was fine for one night.”

• Do not stay! Avoid!

“Do not stay in this hotel! The hotel was so dirty and the carpets smelled like dog pee. The room was old and the bed linens were old and had holes in them. I have two kids and I need a pack 'n' play. The pack 'n' play was dirty and smelled. I did not use it. I told my kids not to touch anything. The bathroom looked liked it was not cleaned in a week. My family got out of that hotel was fast. We booked a non-smoking room on line and they tried to give us a smoking room.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly.
• The room didn't look very good but was clean.

“It was pretty much what I expected for the price. But the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.”

• While off-downtown, still convenient and a quick trip to UVA and historic Charlottesville.
• In need of some electrical/appliance maintenance.

“It's about right for the price level: a few miles from the tourist areas, staff not so friendly, and a few things (bathroom fan, alarm clock, thermostat) broken, but also clean, comfortable, and walking distance to a number of businesses.”

• Nothing.
• It was dirty and there was a loud party outside the hotel.

“The hotel was disgusting. It was extremely dirty. The hotel was next to a bar where people had gathered in the parking a lot and were quite loud well after midnight. Additionally, people in the hotel kept open and closing their room doors which was also quite loud. I will not stay in this hotel again and do not understand how it received a 2 1/2 star rating.”
