• 0.2 miles downhill to hospital; great staff.
• No shuttle to hospital; uninspired food.

“We stayed there before my surgery at UVA hospital, about 0.2 miles. Front desk staff was marvelous and very helpful: they said we could leave our car there for the day after we'd checked out. Food was slightly overpriced and uninspired - if you can walk 0.3 miles you can find better in town. Will stay there again but hope to eat elsewhere. Nice, modern rooms and facilities.”

“I thought it was an excellent hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and spacious, check in was quick and efficient, and parking was hassle free. The location was perfect, well within walking distance of the main UVA campus and the stores on University Avenue. I also must comment on how good the buffet breakfast was. There were made-to-order omlettes, fresh fruit, juice, belgian waffles and breakfast meats for a very reasonable price. I ate breakfast there every morning and never needed lunch. I would stay here again if I was in the area.”

“This is a well-maintained property on the edge of the Corner district in Charlottesville, within walking distance to the University, the Hospital and many shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and competent.”

“The location of our hotel was ideal; short walking distance to the UVA campus and many fine shops and restaurants... We enjoyed dinner at the Virginian and breakfast at the College Diner. The hotel was immaculate. The parking garage was closely monitored and the swimming pool easily accessible. The staff was both friendly and courteous. The Downtown Mall was only a 5 minute drive.”

“My family stayed this hotel for one night during trip, and we're very satisfied with it. Very clean room, complimentary internet access, good location (just a minute from downtown, so you have lots of choice for dining and entertainment). I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.”
