• Price was too high for the rooms per night.

• Location near marina/water. Very good restaurant next door. Staff of the hotel were very quick to resolve problems.
• Non smoking room smelled like a smoking room. The bed pillows were very uncomfortable and had an unpleasant odor.

• Fairly clean and quiet.
• To far from the beach.

“Although this was a nice hotel, it did not meet all of our wants. We had wanted to be closer to myrtle beach and we did not have that option when selecting a hotel.”

• Convenient location.
• Needed remodeling badly, dirty, musty, not even 1 star, lose door locks, scary!

“I immediately checked out! It probably hasn't been remodeled/upgraded furniture since opening in 70's. Dirty, scared, not even a 1 star, sad to even be available.”

• It was quiet and having a restaurant close was nice.
• The towels were scratchy and the laundry room did not have soap to buy.

“The hotel was easy to get to and was quiet but it was almost too far from "things to do". It was clean and neat but plain. The staff was friendly and willing to answer my questions.”

• Comfortable beds. Lots of pillows. Good location for where we wanted to be.
• Ice machines only on certain floors.

• I liked when we finally left this humid, disgusting hotel.
• The room was so humid that the sheets felt damp. The bathroom was very dirty, and the room had a smell of urine.

“This hotel was so disgusting that we considered leaving a day earlier. There were stains in the toilet left from a previous guest and not cleaned. The room was so damp that I could not get warm and get a good night sleep. The odor in the room was unbearable (similar to urine). We couldn't wait to leave.”

• There wasn't anything that was unsatisfactory.

“In a beautiful area of little river away from the entire fast pace of myrtle beach. Tucked away by the water, it was very nice. Neat, clean, very good breakfast restaurant, staff very friendly, not any complaints on this hotel. Close enough to everything.”

• The junior suite was very nice. I liked the extra living room/dining area.
• I wish we were right on the beach.

“The hotel was clean and had nice size rooms. The location was easy to find and right on a major hwy. I liked the marina which was located right behind the hotel.”

• Affordable.
• Smelled moldy.

“Hotel had a moldy, mildew odor, and reeked of cat urine. No coffee pot in room, only a cheap paper cup you insert under coffee pot. I then went to lobby for coffee and saw dead bugs on the wicker type wall unit they had the coffee stored in. Asked for dehumidifier but never got it. Couldn't access internet, had to go to front desk to ask them to turn my phone on.”

• It was on the marina and had 2.5 miles of docks to walk around and a lighthouse. Beautiful scenery. Kids loved it.
• No Patios. Had to pack up and drive to beach. Pool very small and dirty.

“Overall the hotel was great. Restaurant - terrific prices. Family of 4 ate for under $18. View was picturesque. Yachts, boats, docks, lighthouse loved it all, just missed seeing the beach or being able to walk to beach.”

“I loved the location of hotel away from hassle and bustle of myrtle beach traffic. The marina walk was great. The room was definitely more than I expected. Very nice.”

• Location on the pier was very nice. Facilities were very nice and clean.
• It's 30 or 40 minutes from myrtle beach.

“We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was quiet and peaceful, and we loved the view from the pool. It overlooked a marina.”

• Nothing.
• This hotel was dirty. It smelled of smoke and animals and unwashed human. We complained and housekeeping was sloppy.

“This hotel was just dirty. It had so many odors, from animals, smoke and humans. Thank heavens we had a short stay. Ask for housekeeping to clean did not solve problem, they sprayed sweet stuff and did not vacuum or cleaned.”

• Clean, close to good seafood in calabash, beach close by, less traffic than myrtle beach.
• Animals, large dogs in the motel are terrible and the barking was bad. People need to know before that large dogs are allowed.

“The hotel is clean, in a nice location, close to world famous seafood in Calabash, close to a beautiful beach which looks like cape cod. Great place to stay. The only bad thing is pets are allowed and that means some big dogs, which means barking at night but if the pets are not there it is a nice place to stay for the money. The most important thing to me is safety and this is absolutely a safe area. I will go back.”
