  • The pool was nice.
  • Not as clean as it could be.

“Could be cleaner. Staff was friendly but preoccupied with cell phone conversations.”

  • Nothing.
  • 1st room stunk, 2nd had spider webs, dog at breakfast area.

“1st room stunk really bad, front desk offered to spray it. I Requested another room clerk said they had nothing else, I requested money back, desk clerk called manager and they gave me a better room, but had spider webs along the ceiling and rarely could connect to internet. I had to go next door to the Quality Inn for Internet no problem connection there. And bringing dogs to the continental breakfast is not cool. La Quinta inn north myrtle not for me, Never again.”

  • Can't think of anything.
  • Pool was very small and water wasn't clean enough to get in.

“Hotel wasn't near the beach at all. It's just as you get in town and really didn't offer anything at all. Priced way to high for what we got. A clean room.”

  • Continental breakfast was very good.
  • Asked for non- smoking, had a smoking room, dogs were swimming in pool, check-in was rude.

“We asked for a non- smoking room and was told we had to take a smoking room at check in. The check in person was very rude. The room smelled terrible. When we took our children to the pool other guests came in with their dogs and the dogs were swimming in the pool with the guests. It was terrible.”

  • Loved the whirlpool and was a fairly large hotel room.
  • Cleanliness was an issue, and maids were rude when asked about extra towels.

“The hotel room was large with a whirlpool and sitting area. The pool was small. Pets are allowed and was a plus for this stay. The hotel room bathroom and whirlpool could have been cleaned better though. My wife asked the maid for an extra towel and was told, 'we don't have any extra towels, but let me check anyways.' and she was handed an extra towel. Also the clerk stayed on the phone and it was hard to speak with them. Towels seemed to be hard to find in this hotel and with the rude staff it ended up being a nuisance, I couldn't complain much. It's not a luxury hotel, you can't complain too much about the service. The hotel is also located at the edge of the city limits to North Myrtle Beach. Not Recommended if you plan to go to Myrtle Beach's attractions frequently or the beach everyday. Good for a couple of nights in Myrtle Beach and if you don't mind driving ten miles to popular attractions.”

  • The price.
  • Refrigerator, microwave.

“The refrigerator in the room was off and I had a hard time getting it to work, the microwave oven at breakfast was missing the plate, there was a lot of dogs in the hotel (I think I saw one pee on the carpet in the hallway) and there was a lot of tiny things stuck to the wall by the toilet in the room. But, the people were very nice and for the most part the room was clean.”

  • I loved the convenience to shopping and the beach.
  • The sheets and covers appeared dingy and not fresh smelling.

“Overall, my stay was good. I was not comfortable with the cleanliness of the bed sheets. I did like the location of the hotel. It was less than 5 minutes from both the beaches and excellent shopping.”

  • Spacious rooms and friendly staff made the trip good.
  • There was an occasional "odd" smell in the hallway.

“For a weekend getaway, the price was right. The location was not really close to any attractions. We got just what we paid for and have no regrets. The hotel was a nice place to stay and the staff was very nice.”

  • La Quintas are one of the few hotels that will accept pets and this one didn't charge an extra fee.
  • The bed was a little uncomfortable.

“La Quinta Inns are one of the few chains that accept pets, which is why I often stay with them when traveling with my dog. The hotel itself is a slightly above economy style hotel worth the comparatively smaller price. The staff was helpful and friendly. The important thing to keep in mind about this hotel is location; it is in North Myrtle beach, about 12 miles from Myrtle Beach, which is why it was half the price of the La Quinta Inn in Myrtle beach. During the peak of the Summer vacation season some people may find the drive and, often times, bumper to bumper traffic frustrating if they plan to visit Myrtle Beach attractions, and worth paying the extra money for a more centrally located hotel. Conversely, the city of North Myrtle beach tends to be a little more family friendly and less crowded, the hotel is just a short drive to Cherry Grove Beach.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[9]

  • Continental breakfast.
  • Bathroom was dirty, did not get clean towels on a daily basis, and did not get soap.

“The rooms look nice but were poorly cleaned if at all I had to request towels, soap, wash clothes etc there was a fire extinguisher missing from the room my auntie was in also that is dangerous and they had the mordacity to tell me that they were out of towels. Also I had family who stayed there and we were on the 2nd-5th floor for a family reunion and nobody was impressed with the stay.”
