“We were hoping to be on the water. Ended up having to rent a car to get around since this hotel was not near the beach and would not transfer our one night say to their property on the beach. A nice place to say for business travelers.”

“I requested a hotel within Myrtle beach coastline, and this facility is not located east of highway 17, so it should be taken out of that area. The facility itself was nice and would be fine for business travel, but definitely not a good location to enjoy the beach.”

“Was not a short or nice walk to Barefoot Landing, and was said to be at that location. Without an outdoor pool, this was a very uncomfortable stay at a hotel. Will stay near the beach from now on, since a hotel in a location like this does not suit my needs at all. The name of this hotel should be Motel 6 or Best Western for the quality.”

“This hotel was very nice. Service was great and we got everything we requested. The location is good, but getting out of the parking lot can take a while, because there are no traffic lights. On the last day, we found a cockroach in our room. Besides those two things, this was an excellent hotel.”

“When I arrived I was nervous because I was checking in late (about 9:30 pm) but the desk clerk was very nice and was ready for me. The room was very clean and homey. There is also a really nice Workout room, hot tub and pool on the first floor. I plan to stay here again and again.”

“This is my third stay at Courtyard Marriott in Myrtle Beach. I love the place, location, and service. My room was always clean, the food was great. I took advantage of exercise facility as well. I have nothing but good things to say for Courtyard Marriott.”

“The first room the air was broken. The second room was better. The location was not that great. The street was very busy. The pool was very small and a little green. The cleaning staff was very accommodating, but the front desk people were not very friendly. I only had two desk people smile at my family during our stay there. I asked recommendations on sight seeing and the response was less than helpful. I felt the breakfast was not that great and the price was too high.”

“I've stayed in many Courtyard Hotels. This one was by far the most run down. It could be a very nice hotel again with some upgrades. The pool was cloudy and the problem was not fixed in the five days we were there. TV volume control did not work properly. The beds needed to be replaced, saggy. Some of the fixtures did not work. I saw a recent TV commercial where Courtyard was going to upgrade their hotels. This has not happened here yet. The staff was friendly and helpful and the price we got on the room was very good. But once again, not up to the quality of what a Courtyard should be. There were several dozen teenage girls booked there for a day camp which made noisy evenings. The North Myrtle Beach location was fantastic and very convenient to the whole area. The outside of the hotel was landscaped very nicely. The inside needs a good overhaul!”

“Nice location. Close to outlet shopping and the beach. Also close to Barefoot Landing and entertainment locations. Its on the main drag so getting into or out of the parking lot had its challenges at times. But the hotel was set back far enough that you didn't get a lot of noise.”

“Handicap rooms don't have handicapped features such as hand held shower head or a walk in shower. The ice machine on the fourth floor was broken from the time we got there until we left. We left early and went to Gatlinberg, leaving two nights hotel paid for. I know why we stopped staying at Marriot and went to Hampton or Holiday Inn. Getting in and out of this location was difficult at best!”
