“This Holiday Inn was warm, friendly and inviting. The room was immaculate, comfortable and new! The staff was wonderful. I arrived near midnight, yet I was greeted as though it were the middle of the day by an enthusiastic staff member. I was made to feel as though I were being welcomed home. By far the best reception I've ever experienced!”

“Poor housekeeping practices. Hair in the bathroom upon checkin. Hair in the bathroom upon checkout. Didn't appear that the carpet was ever vacuumed during my stay.”

“could not handle nor did attempt to handle all the problems in just two days, manager has still not returned my phone calls, desk clerks were very nice, but unable to handle any issues, they were not even sure about how to conduct the evacuation”

“Great hotel to stay at if you love to listen to freight trains all night long when you are normally trying to sleep. But don't worry the trains don't seem to run during the morning or day. Only at night when you are trying to sleep. I swear to you I am not exaggerating!”

“Hotel is only worth staying in if you need/have to stop driving. Hotel is located next to a rail road track that operates all night. Town of Cumberland shuts down at 9 pm, basically so does the hotel. The hotel parking also leaves alot to be desired(outdoor lot with no security personnel or fence) .”

“Hotel was fine. Meals were average. Bed was small. Room was very clean. We left credit card number for incidentals at check-in but hours later night manager insisted we didn't and called twice at 9:30-10 pm to get it for room service bill of about $45.”

“We liked the hotel overall. They were a bit understaffed, at least the first two nights of our stay. We requested extra pillows and they were provided in a timely manner. We had a problem with the keys staying activated for our room. We also had a bug minor problem. I would recommend staying on the other side of the building due to the constant train traffic.”

“I was very disappointed with this Hilton as it did not meet my expectations. I never allow valet parking and there was no parking garage on site although they did allow me to park and lock my car with a very pleasant valet present. Although I was told that there was no parking garage near by, after checking out I found a parking garage less than a block away for a fraction of the $40 I was charged. The front desk was only staffed with two people and the wait for service was unacceptable. The room was quite small and although the concierge tried to be helpful, he was condescending. I would never stay at this hotel again.”

“This hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area of Cumberland, close to Lavale and Frostburg. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, but the decor is old and tired.”

“I would recommend this hotel. The staff was very pleasant. Room was clean and easy to use. Parking was safe (we had two cars packed with moving gear). The only other bad thing I can say is the bar was not staffed and after waiting 15 minutes for someone to appear, we left. The town has great places to go that are steps from the hotel. We found Reds just two blocks from the hotel. We had a great time there. It boasts a New York style loft cigar bar, darts and pool. Cumberland is a fun town. I would recommend staying at this hotel.”
