  • Not a lot of parking for the ones with a disability.

  • Great location and atmosphere
  • rooms were outdated

“Very nice hotel in an area of Myrtle Beach that is close to all the shopping and entertainment, but not right in it. Great pools and location on the beach. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were ok, but could use some updating (i.e. paint, carpet, and TV)”

  • The beds were very comfortable.
  • DO NOT DO THE TIMESHARE PROGRAM. Do not do the timeshare program.

“The Balcony was nice. The hotel itself seemed out of the way. You have to pay for parking and wait on the elevators. The splash park and pool were very busy so you need to get there easy to get a chair. The staff seemed nice. The coffee was good in the room. The hotel is pet friendly! The room could be updated for as much as you pay.”

  • Loved the location and having the ocean outside the room.
  • It was a little dated and needs refurbished and updated.

“I really loved the space of the rooms and the layout. I think it needs updating, paint, flooring, carpeting etc. The rooms were cleaned very well, they were just a bit worn out.”

  • Good location.
  • No closet to hang clothes, sand in shower, keys didn't work.

“Not having a closet was inconvenient since we had our clothes on hangers. When I turned the shower on, sand appeared on the shower floor. When we arrived, the door was not completely closed, so when we went out & then returned, our keys did not work. The lobby was pretty, nice pool, and on the beach were the good things.”

  • Waiting 10-15 minutes before each shower for water to get warm. Need to clean cobwebs from walkway balconies.

  • The rooms in the hotel offer a good ocean view.
  • The entrance door to the room needs fixing so it can be shut properly.

“This hotel offers quite a bit in term of amenities. Unfortunately because of poor maintenance, one cannot enjoy them fully. The hallways need new carpeting.”

  • Awesome bellhops, they were very informative.
  • The housekeeper did not speak English.

“This is a very elegant hotel. It's very appealing to the eye. The linen is very plush. Having a microwave and mini fridge in the room was great.”

  • When first room was smoky we were quickly moved to a smoke-free room, a little larger & with a better view.
  • Initially smoky room. The bath was small and not 4 star quality. No robes in closet.

“The room had a strange outside entrance so you went from A.C. comfort to a strip outside the doors like a motel, but it was worth it to be in the nicer room. I was concerned about some comments on dirty rooms but ours was beautiful, fluffy clean towels, down comforters, and great ocean view. Because the bathroom was a little small and the outside entrance was odd I wouldn't rate a 4 star. A.”

  • Very nice lobby.
  • I did not like their guest room at the Royal palms (room designed strictly for a handicapped person) There was no couch and not what I expected.

“I would rate this hotel very poor because of the bad room that I was placed in. My wife complained the whole time we were there about the accommodations which made the stay even more unbearable. I don't envision staying there again or recommending it to anyone.”

  • Concierge staff was excellent, both front door and pool.
  • Not so much the hotel - but we did not expect to see as many children/families in a 4-star.

“The hotel was very nice and spacious. Although casual atmosphere prevailed due to pool and beach access. Be prepared for kids! Pool concierge was very attentive - love the Cabanas for a little privacy and shade. I'd go back again - maybe when the kids are in school.”

  • I loved our view from our room. House keeping ladies were pleasant and so was the cook during breakfast.
  • During breakfast buffet too many flies on the open fruit platter & food.

“I was a bit discouraged in the very beginning, due to the reservation department. I was very surprised in the lack of quality customer service I was provided. Once in the hotel the overall experience was nice.”

  • It was beautiful and right in front of the beach.
  • The room was quite tiny for the price.

“I really enjoyed my stay, the room was too small and you had to bend over the balcony and look to your right to see the ocean. Other than those two things I enjoyed my time there.”

  • The accommodations were good, but the health club/tennis facility were very good.
  • The beach view that I requested was a partial view at best and the balcony and furniture was not clean and attractive.

“This is not a four star resort. That said, the room was clean and comfortable, if small. One major complaint is the noise associated with the air conditioning unit; very loud and intrusive. The location is good and the beach is not crowded with plenty of room to spread out. Forget the pool area unless you like very loud music and large crowds. Overall, better than average hotel.”
