• Pet friendly, access to beach.
• Uncleanliness, rude staff, elevators were not working correctly, and nasty green pool.

“This was one of the worst hotel I have stayed at on my trips to Myrtle Beach. It was outdated, carpet was nasty, refrigerator door was peeling, refrigerator smelled from lack of cleaning, glass on doors and windows (in lobby) were dirty. Paint was peeling from entry doors and elevators, carpets had not been swept, pools were not cleaned and filled had nasty green water in them. Elevator got stuck between 4th and 3rd floor for several minutes with us inside. Staff wasn't friendly. Lack of customer service training. Beach was pretty and location was good. But hotel room was disgusting. We stayed out of room as much as we could. I would never stay there again with or without my pet.”

• Check-in was fast and efficient.
• The hotel rooms are not inside, most are outside. Two dollar ten cent charge for each room.

“For the price it was ok, I have stayed in nicer 2 stars for the same price.”

• Was ocean front and had a friendly staff.
• Outdated decor, and although broom clean the carpet in hallways and tile in lobby were dirty.

“Outdated decor, felt dark. Yet clean (like new) bath tub. The concrete and tile throughout premises looked like they needed deep cleaning.”

• The location is good (ocean front).
• Cleanliness, staff, bathrooms, overall appearance.

“It is not appropriate to rate this resort a 2 1/2 star. It is rather 2 or 1 1/2 star. The rooms are old, and the bathroom tiles were old and rusty. Overall, I would never come back to ocean dunes even if it were free. Pool was dirty and closed. However, only the gym was useable and clean.”

• I liked the balcony facing the ocean.
• I did not like the outside carpet that continued inside water and dirt included.

“My overall stay was unremarkable. The hotel was very out-of-date. Though some modern amenities were offered, I found myself going outside and to another "branch" of the hotel to enjoy amenities that I was made to believe was in-house. The staff was awl most of the time. The front desk phone rang for a small eternity. The desk was not attended at all time. The pool was dirty and filled with salt - not good on the eyes. The halls smelled of mildew and cheap air freshener. Glad I got a good price, but I would have spent more to enjoy minimum expectations of a hotel.”

“Anywhere else in the world this is a one star hotel, the location on the beach is the only thing that makes it a 2 star in my opinion. I think I book a 2.5 star and it is not that. KJ.”

• The hot water was hot.
• Just about everything.

“Old, dilapidated, dirty (trash everywhere) (there was something that looked like a booger on the wall in the first room they gave me) in dire need of re-hob I am sure that many years ago this was a nice vacation destination, but today the only thing desirable is the ocean front location there is no way this is a 2 1/2 star and I am disappointed that you call it such the accommodations are not as good as an old red roof inn do not even have internet access shame on you!”

• I loved the convenience of the hotel and its location to the beach, as well as the ocean view.
• I did not like that the ice machine located on my floor did not work. The only working ice machine was on the third floor.

“I loved staying at this hotel. My friend and I are both college students on a budget and for the price, it was exactly what we needed and expected. We did not mind that it was more family oriented because it was still a pleasant, clean hotel with convenience to the beach, great room service, and tons of activities for young and old. While we fit the 20-35 single person age range, this hotel would be great for any one. If we had any problems, they were fixed the same day as when we discussed them with the front desk. Great stay!”

“Location is the only thing that this hotel has it going for it. It's star rating is not accurate, as this hotel is older, and has not kept up with the times, in dire need of a remodel. The carpet was disgusting with cig burns, stains, gross. The furniture was old and looked, smelled and felt its age. The bathroom was small, and ceiling in bath was falling apart. There was no opportunity for high speed internet, even at a cost. I would not recommend this, and very disappointed with the star level this hotel has received.”

• It was a little run down. Needs a good face lift.

• Great location. Good for the cost of the stay.
• Light over bed didn't work.

“I was little anxious about our stay after reading a few opinions of other travelers, but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. It wasn't first rate. We were right on the beach and the view was great. The staff was nice and the room was definitely not the worst I've ever stayed in.”

• The staff was friendly.
• One of the elevators kept getting stuck. When maintenance was needed, it took a while for someone to come to the room.

“Some things could have been nicer. The elevator that was stuck did not appear to be of importance to the staff. They would tell you to use the other elevator. It took a full day for repairs. Our remote for the TV. did not work. They did not come until the next day to give us another one. I asked for extra towels, but didn't get them until I made a comment to the front desk that they were not received.”

• Right on the beach, great view, wonderful staff, and great food.
• The hot tub ceiling leaked and the hot tub looked a little dirty.

“I think this is a wonderful hotel. Our stay was great when the leak in the ceiling over the hot tub is fixed I would rate this hotel a 10.”

• It was very noisy. Lots of doors slamming late at night.

“Overall, it was a nice hotel. The beds and pillows were really hard and it was kind of noisy late at night, but we had a really nice view of the ocean.”
