• Location.

  understaffed. Poor food quality that was overpriced.

• Staff worked to make me happy; very fast free internet.
• Airport shuttle should start 30 minutes earlier.

“I have stayed at the Wyndham Garden near RDU each time I've visited Raleigh over the past few years. I returned from one such trip today and happy to report that the Wyndham has improved and updated the accommodations. New items included an LCD TV and new acoustical ceiling tiles to reduce noise. As usual the bed was super comfortable and the bedding was of quality. My husband wants to buy one of their mattresses. Service was excellent. As usual our welcome snack and beverage was waiting in our room. We needed to return our rental car and the hotel shuttle picked us up to get back to the hotel. At 4:30 am I needed a spoon for my yogurt before heading to the airport and they desk clerk gave me a full set of flatware from the restaurant to take with me! I will continue to stay at the Wyndham.”

• Close to destination.
• Did not make up room first day of three day stay.

“Our initial impression was a less than friendly staff in a outdated facility. Our room was never cleaned and we were switched to another room at 10pm that backed up to a freight train track. A scene out of "My Cousin Vinny"! Loud party in lobby party room that permeated the entire facility!”

• The bed and pillows were perfect.
• Had to wait about 10 minutes for night auditor.

“The Wyndham Durham hotel is a slightly upscale version of your typical business travel hotel. Very comfortable bed, nice towels, full array of cable channels, free Wi-Fi, which requires no login/password, nice workout room, pretty location. No indoor pool/hot tub, no quick/inexpensive breakfast options and not within walking distance of shops.

• Location was convenient.
• Room was dirty, closes were soiled, no offer from hotel to correct the inconvenience.

“Not good for any length of stay, only for a quick, short night waiting at the airport. Not good for a family on vacation, just for a single night close to the hotel. Very disappointing hotel. Does not live up to the name.”

• Wolfgang puck coffee but Starbucks coffee in the lobby.

• Helpful front desk; 24 hour gym on the premises.
• Carpet and walls looked a little shabby.

“A great hotel, very conveniently located, has the amenities for a business traveler (including a very fast wireless internet connection), a helpful front desk staff (came up and gave me my Splenda sachets almost before I got off the phone asking for them), and cuts out unnecessary frills.”

• Maintenance staff did not address our complaints.

“Hotel staff was very friendly. Good location with convenient access to interstate. However, on the last day of our stay, we notified the front desk that the bathtub was draining very slowly and the sink was leaking, but maintenance did not fix the problems.”
