• I liked the value package, clean room, nice staff, and all you have to do!
• The gift shop staff was not so friendly, and no shuttle service anywhere's.

“This is a great place to stay in if you have kids. The room was clean, the floor was a little sandy, but that's the beach for you! The housekeeping was good, late evening before cleaned, but okay by me. The pool was excellent! This is a good place to stay because of the price and all you get! More of a family resort. I loved the tunnel access to the beach, and all the things on the grounds you have access to. We use to Laundromat, very useful! I would recommend this to all my friends! I would like to tell the resort though they need a shuttle bus to take you up and down the strand. that is the only thing this hotel is lacking. we are already planning our trip next year!”

• Family package with available activates.
• No barbeque grills info in the brochure was mis-leading. It was too far.

“We went there on a family vacation 2007 (19 of us). It's a great family vacation and the packages were great. We stayed in the Palms. My brother initially stayed in one of the older building that wasn't renovated but they were gracious about moving him. Great family value package. Looking forward to going back again.”

• Housekeeping took too long to clean room. never enough towels.

“I read reviews the day before we left for the Sea Mist and I was ready to find a new hotel. But, our flight got in early, we drove by the hotel and loved what we saw. It was after 4:30 that we could get in the room but it was immaculate. We stayed in the Palms Building overlooking the water park; we could see the ocean as well. The housekeeping staff was very nice but it took a while every day for them to clean the room. Other than that, my kids and I loved it. The family package is the way to go and we loved the water park. The add on dinners were excellent as well. I would go back in a heartbeat!”

• Gave us a refund for the last night that we didn't stay without a problem
• old, old rooms with bed bugs

“The brochure we received advertised that the hotel was renovated. Some rooms may have been, ours definitely has never been renovated. It was very old and dirty looking. But worst of all, on our second to last day at the resort, we woke up to bed bugs. We had itchy bites from head to toe. We do not recommend this resort. There are many much nicer and cleaner places in Myrtle Beach that are even actually cheaper. Call the Sea Watch, or the Breakers. Prettier and cleaner with better pool locations.”
