• The staff were great!
• No food establishments close by-had to walk 20-30 minutes.

“Room was very dark; window looked at wall just outside door. Would have liked an earlier check-in time-current around 3:00PM. Would like 1:00PM.”

• Excellent customer service and clean!
• Nothing.

“This was in a great location, and the staff was great! The maintenance people stayed outside at the pool and walk ways cleaning the whole time. Our room was beautiful and had full ocean view. I would definitely stay there again. And my kids loved the lazy river great added bonus!”

• Some staffs are nice and the pool is great for affordable budget.
• The smell of cigarette in the room even though it's the non-smoking room.

“The room is little small, the overall appearance of the room is quite good. The pool, hot tub, and lazy river are great. It's just right there by my room, but we need to cross the street to get to the ocean. The location is good. Some staffs are very nice, some aren't. They are 24/7 available and they are quite friendly.”

• Full kitchen, lazy river pool needed cleaning.
• Crossing the street to reach the other beach and second part of the hotel was dangerous, not pedestrian crosswalk was available.

“Hotel was very nice. I like the full kitchen with utensils. The lazy river was fun for the kids. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• Could not believe how clean the rooms were and had everything we needed!
• There was nothing we didn't like!

“The staff was very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were! The pools were great, there was even one we had access to that was on the ocean (the main hotel is across the street). The beds were surprisingly comfortable. There was a great continental breakfast and for a small fee you could even have them deliver it to your room! We are absolutely making this our number one hotel to stay at every time we go to the beach!”

• Overall Great Hotel and its wasn't too expensive.
• Should have an eating area at ocean front room side.

“We really enjoyed our stay form Oct 19-21 2007. The staff was nice and very friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. Its sort of like a small condo and we were just in luck to get the last ocean front room and the view of the beach was great. Felt like paradise we didn't want to leave. The only thing I would of like better if there was a small area in the Ocean front side to eat at but other than that, I will definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to come again on spring break for about a week this time.”

• Nothing it was dirty, smelled.
• The hotel in the picture when I booked was the best western across the street which is newer; the hotel we were at was so bad we checked out.

“The hotel was rated 2stars it was not a one star is was dirty and smelled the staff was extremely rude, we ask to be moved to another room, we ask to speak to the manager and we ask for our money refunded because it was so nasty we would not sleep there another night. The staff did not honor any of our requests. Dont waste your money on this bug infested rat hole.”

• The beach can be reached with a few minutes by walking.
• Paid a few extra dollars for a private balcony. Just a couple of chairs outside the room, not very private.

“Room was nicer and larger than expected, especially for the price (stayed off season in mid October). Continental breakfast was better than expected (included boiled eggs, which my wife liked). Many fast food restaurants within a few minutes drive.”

• Phenomenal location-right on the beach, quiet. Time to truly enjoy all of god's perfect "artwork" from our room or outside right next to the beach.
• Parking accommodations. Restrictions for guests only not enforced. Had to park across the street/highway one night /cont breakfast room small/crowded.

“Everything was ready for us upon or arrival. The room was nicely cleaned each day while we were out. The beachside location was excellent. We were truly blessed during our time there. The continental breakfast was very good although the room where it was set up was very small and crowded.”

• Half of this hotel is nice and on the beach and has a nice pool area.

“This is by far the worst experience I have had. Upon arriving with my 2 small children to a nearly empty hotel in off peak season, we were put in a below average room on the 3rd floor. This room had one full size bed and was very dingy! If I wanted a room with adequate bedding, I would have to pay full retail. The only way you are going to stay in their new building by the beach is if you pay their full price. The front desk employees are very rude and complacent. This area is very loud with traffic noise and I was completely unnerved by leaving my vehicle in their parking area. The best Western Grand Strand Hotel on the beach appeared to be a 2 and a half star. This place is running a scam!”

• This is a motel and I would not recommend it to anyone ever again.
• The rooms were accessible only from outside entry and our room was directly beside a 1/2 Motor Inn.

“It was not even a hotel as described, but a motel. My husband and I ended up having to go and find somewhere else to stay; we didn't even stay at the motel.”

• My mother & I were very pleased with the room as it was located directly on the ocean side, we were able to open the balcony door & hear the ocean.
• I really cannot think of a derogatory thing to say about our stay.

“We had a very pleasant stay where it was very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would be traveling to myrtle beach. Thank everyone for there lovely hospitality.”
