  • Location & view was great.
  • Room was very dirty, including the sheets and bed. Scared to walk around in room barefooted. Inside pool area was very dirty, as well.

“The hotel would be great if the rooms were fixed up and clean. The room was very dirty and unsanitary. The sheets on the bed had spots on them. We slept on top of the comforter. Tried to find another hotel after seeing the room, but none had vacancy. Very disappointed in the looks of the room for what I had to pay for a family vacation. Will never stay there again!!!!”

  • This hotel has a great location.
  • Everything (beds, pillows, decor) is exceedingly old and therefore not always clean or updated.

“The Ocean Park is in a fabulous location and has a great list of amenities. All of these, however, are very old and sometimes outdated (the microwave in our efficiency had dials on it from the '80s), the pillows and furniture was probably recycled from another hotel (there was a best western label on the old lumpy pillow), etc. The elevators were not clean. The beds are supposedly the "oldest on the beach" but weren't awful. The beach front is awesome though and it was really nice to have the pools, patios, and lawn as options. The bottom line: great location and decent amenities but not a "treat yourself" kind of place.”

  • It was available.
  • Very small for the money.

“It suited our needs, but I wouldn't go back. The room was super small. The place was clean and the staff was pleasant.”

  • I like the location of the hotel. It was very convenient for the beach and not too far away from nightlife.
  • The front desk staff was friendly but they were not good at all with getting things up to your room on a timely basis.

“The hotel itself was not worth the money that we paid for it. It could definitely use some updating, it was very run down and had a very musty smell. One of the maintenance men were extremely rude to my and my fellow roommates and the security there is ridiculous. (The lady was a complete space case.) Overall the location was the best and it had great beach access and was very close to nightlife which made it okay for all of the negative things we were experiencing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much nicer hotels along Ocean Boulevard and this one cost way too much for the way we were treated and the cleanliness of the place.”

  • The pools, hot tubs and close to the beach.
  • It was filthy, nasty. The night time desk lady IVY was rude. Michelle was GREAT.

“The rooms were so dirty and crappy. NO curtains on the windows or sliding door. The parking was terrible. Ivy was very rude. Michelle was a big help and tried to do whatever she could to help us. There was vomit in the elevator and the help was told about it but NO one ever cleaned it up.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • Ocean front and close to everything.
  • Run down and needs updated, stains on the ceilings.

“Loved the location of the hotel, and the price was OK, however the beds were horrible (felt the springs), stains on the walls and the rooms were dirty including the carpets and the pools and hot tubs needed to desperately be painted.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • The hotel is located in close proximity to the ocean and has heated pools and Jacuzzi.
  • The hotel room was too small and there was not a restaurant in the hotel.

“The hotel was adequate not extravagant. I am glad my family could visit Myrtle Beach, SC.”
