“The staff was very friendly and helpful. Allowed early check-in and late check-out. The location was great and the view was excellent.”

• Staff was decent. Parking is free and close.
• Old. Smells. Dirty. Carpet disgusting.

“I would never stay there again. The carpet is so old and probably contributes to the smell in the entire hotel. I was Very disappointed for the price. There was smoking at the pool where we took our 2 yr old son that was unpleasant. The elevator smelled like feet and was very slow we usually had to use the stairs which reeked of smoke. This hotel deserves no stars. You couldnt pay me to stay there again.”

• Much improved from several years ago, clean, good condition.
• Small pool.

“Overall a very nice hotel, clean and well maintained room. A little pricy, but all ocean view rooms are. Nice quiet area with several businesses nearby. A couple fairly quiet bars (fun to watch from the balcony late at night) and a nice fishing pier with restaurant. Plenty of parking, but I would suggest you park away from the elevator area as all the people will walk with luggage near your car if you do. I'll stay here again.”

• Good location. Out of the commercialism for the most part.
• Needs updating badly.

“Hotel needs updating badly. Balcony was a little disappointing due to the fact that it was on the side of the hotel, not on front beach although you could see the ocean from it if you stretched. Also it was very small. Barely 2 chairs fit. Location is pretty good if you don't want to be around lots of kids. Also the hotel was quiet and they did close the pool at 11:00. A guard made everyone get out. Parking lot was kept very clean. Scotty's Bar & Grill next door was a good place to relax and listen to a little music. But whatever you do, don't go to Nibils restaurant. It is next door to the hotel. The food wasn't all that great and the staff was horrible! The oriental waitress we had literally threw our water and straws on the table, making a mess. Never did she acknowledge we were present other than to take our order, she never said one word, even after thanking her. (Which was our attempt to see if she could be nice, lost cause). The cashier wasn't much better, also never saying thank you for coming, etc. Just putting out her hand for our money when paying. Lots of other great places to eat. This isn't one of them! If you want an upscale restaurant, try Bonefish Grill. It is a chain, but the food is awesome and atmosphere is nice.”

• Location was good, not too crowded.
• Mildew in bathrooms, decor needed updating badly.

“While we enjoyed the stay, the promise of a balcony was disappointing. Not only did the balconies not face the beach. They were on the side of the building) they were also Very small. Barely could fit the two chairs on them. It was located in a non crowded area compared to Myrtle Beach. We didn't have children with us and wanted privacy. Not many children there so that was good. Needs to be updated very badly. All old furnishings.”

• It was located in a quiet part of the beach.
• It was next door to a bar.

• Great location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants, and in a beautiful neighborhood.
• The room was a tad small. Two people could not sit at the table they provide.

• It was on the beach and it was close to bar and grill and have restaurant in the hotel and one next door.
• I reserved a king side bed and ocean view which was the highest cost of the rooms available. When I got there I got double bed and not a room I reserve.

“I was disappointed that I didn't get the room that I paid for. I received a room that cost less and I didn't received any compensation for it. When I pointed out that it was not the room I reserved and prepaid for, the desk person told me that there was nothing he can do about it. It was the only room available.”
