• Friendly and helpful staff - clean, quiet, comfortable room.

“I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay in this hotel. The front desk clerk was pleasant about providing smoking room, and gave me a choice of rooms. It is a comfortable, safe and a great deal.”

• Attentive staff, free continental breakfast with waffles & quick maid service.
• No meat for breakfast.

“Comfort Inn located on outskirts of Chapel Hill; close to mall and some big box retail. Free WiFi makes things easier. Off the freeway but very quiet. Notice it handles large scale events so expect crowds at breakfast.”

• We were moved into a nice suite room the second night.
• I got bit by bedbugs.

“We stayed two nights. The first night, we couldn't turn the AC off. Next day my husband got someone to look at it and it was determined the switch was broken so we were moved to a different room. Staff was pretty accommodating about this, and the second room was definitely nicer, a suite with a kitchen and sleep sofa. However, I gradually noticed after our stay that I developed some very itchy red bites (about 10 of them) on my wrists, legs, etc. My husband also said he felt like things were crawling on him while in bed, although he got no bites. We only slowly realized what had happened over the next few days, since our minds were on a lot of other things during the trip. After returning home a week later I checked the internet and could see that my bites are definitely bedbug bites. It is true we were staying in a few other hotels after this so I cannot say 100%, but I strongly suspect this is where I got them, based on when I first recollect becoming aware of the itchiness. My bites are still red and itchy and am just watching and praying that none of the bugs got a ride home with us in our clothes or suitcases. From what I see on the internet.”

• Friendly and profesional staff.
• Wireless internet only worked about 5% of the time I was there.

“Check in was smooth and quick. The room was as clean as to be expected. Comfortable beds. I did have some trouble getting my laptop connected to their wireless internet service. I ended up getting in my car and parking at the nicer hotel next door and using their wireless service. This was somewhat inconvenient.”

• Easily accessible.
• Felt unsafe; car broken into outside my bedroom.

“Bare bones facility. Stayed two nights - showered in cold to lukewarm water. Hair dryer was not functional. Did not feel safe. Never left anything valuable in the room. WiFi is non-existent - contrary to claim in hotel literature - in 48 hours was able to have interrupted connection for a total of 5 minutes! Will not recommend for a business traveler.”

• The breakfast offered was nice and the location was excellent.
• It was chincy. The HBO guide was outdated. There was no refrigerator in the room. The exercise equipment was broken.

“Poor value for cost of stay. The HBO guide was outdated and when I asked for a current one, I was told, They just didn't come in. The exercise equipment was broken. The icing on the cake was when I found a worker sleeping in the back room when he was supposed to be covering the breakfast and we were out of creamer and juice. Just not a pleasant stay.”

• Bed bugs.

“We checked in around 7:00. Got the kids to sleep only to see bed bugs on the pillow. We left the hotel around midnight and found another hotel.”

• Connie remembered us from our previous visits and had the nonsmoking room selection set for us!
• Construction out front blocked the driveway access.

“We have stayed with Comfort Inn many times and have never had a bad experience. They cater to a family member with special needs when he travels wit us. It makes the trip much more enjoyable when you know you are no worries at the hotel.”

• Good location & easy access. Quiet & clean.
• Sheets were so rough that I got an abrasion on my elbow while turning in bed.

“It was a good value. Close to the hospital and quiet. I do feel that I got a second rate room from them because there was no phone in the room and there was coffee, but the coffee maker was gone. Luckily, I was only there to sleep and there was coffee in the dining area.”

• The breakfast was outstanding!

“The comfort university hotel was clean, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods bagels, toast, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, hot coffee, juice, etc. I will stay there again when in Durham, NC.”

• Location was very good, room was clean, and continental breakfast was great.
• The hallway smelled of smoke and musty should be aired better.

“It is a modest hotel but served our purpose well. I wonder if the smoke from lower floors rises and therefore the smoky hallway. Maybe smoking rooms should be on the upper floors.”
