• The pool was nice for the kids.
• We were put in a smoking room. I requested a non-smoking room.

“New tile was being installed in the lobby. We were not sure which doors we could use to check in. Too much remodeling was going on inside and out when we got there. I'm not sure why they decided to do construction work during a busy weekend. I never felt welcomed there.”

• The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food.
• I wish the cigarette smoke was not as prevalent.

• Desperately in need of updating.

“Wall paper needed to be replaced in all the halls, the elevator was dirty with broken trim; the room we stayed in had a big water stain on the ceiling There was no artwork in the hallways the list goes on. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean.”

• Walls were extremely thin. Plumbing was loud!

“The hotel and staff were very nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We heard everything in the rooms on either side of us--I mean everything. When someone was taking a shower next door, the noise was so loud from the plumbing--louder than when we took a shower in our own bathroom. I won't stay here again.”

• Nice room and people friendly staff.
• Breakfast Buffet looked good but was horrible. I never got sick before but after eating, got sick.

“This is a nice people friendly hotel with friendly staff. Clean rooms and clean overall. Worth the money spent. Only one thing. Please don't eat the breakfast buffet. Parking thro the week maybe a hustle also. Need to use a garage next door which charges during the week.”

• Clean - comfortable room - friendly staff.
• Breakfast buffet on Sunday am - poor security.

“Nice well appointed rooms - clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Just tried the breakfast buffet and was disappointed. Poor selection and quality of the food. Lacking proper security - anyone could enter the hotel from the parking garage and go undetected to the upper floors via elevators.”

• Dirty smelly rooms including hallways. Nonsmoking rooms smell smoke.

“This is the worst hotel. Their nonsmoking room actually is smoking rooms. The hotel hallways stink with a terrible smell, and all that comes with poor customer service.”

• It was difficult to park. The pool appeared dirty.

“I didn't expect too much in Jamestown, NY at an old 2.5-star hotel. I was able to change to a non smoking room.”

• Convenient location.
• Access to the parking garage.

“This is a pleasant hotel in a delightful town. The hotel is a little worn and could stand a do-over, but is still in good repair and is entirely satisfactory. Would stay here again if returning to Jamestown.”

• The pool area and fitness area were okay, but we didn't use either.
• Safety was a huge concern with outside doors left unlocked after hours, cleanliness terrible, asked for non smoking but could smell smoke.

“This hotel was very unsafe! Back doors were left unlocked afer stated hours, night desk clerk was never out where she could see individuals coming or going. We checked in late and had to call to her to check us in. It was in a bad area of Jamestown, at night especially with a bar right across from the hotel and people hanging out side until 2:00 a.m. The hotel, rooms, and bathroom were very dirty. We asked for non-smoking, yet the room smelled of smoke with a hint of deoderizer spray over the smoke smell. The maid knocked on our door at 8:00 a.m. to clean it when we had checked in at 2:00 a.m. I would not stay at this motel again. I am familiar with the area and the hotels as this is where I grew up for 30 years. I have stayed at this hotel before and I would certainly rate it higher than the Holiday Inn.”

• The kitchen put the wrong sauce on our chicken, but it was good anyway.

• This room was quiet, with a view.
• Not enough parking, we had to park on the street and it was raining.

“The hotel was clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom tub and surround looked like it needed updating but worked well enough. No major problems or complaints.”

• Large, clean room.
• Not enough parking.

“The location was nice but there was a little road construction going on outside and detracted from the appearance. There was a bar on one of the side streets outside the window and it got noisy at one part of the night.”
