• The continental breakfast.
• Room was not clean, there were bug on floor when walked into our room, and staff was not friendly.

“Disappointed that this was the choice of my name my own price because each time I've done this we've gotten a really decent place but not this time. Room was not very clean, smelled funny, and when we requested towels we were told we had to come get them ourselves. Not cool. I won't stay there again.”

• Beds were comfortable and the linens were new and clean.
• The hotel room doors were accessible to the road. There were cockroaches in the lobby when I checked in.

“As I checked into the lobby, through a security window not to mention the cockroach that literally scurried past me, I should have known this was not the place for us. This type of room is not safe to stay in and there should be a warning regarding this type hotel. We slept in fear that night, needless to say it was a very un-restful night. The room was musty and smelled like a tired old hotel room. The AC unit did not work at all. We had stayed in a Comfort Inn in Smithfield, on the way up and we were expecting something similar. This was not the case.”

• No complaints old furniture in good condition.

• Room was musty. Smelled damp.

“Located just off Interstate. Older motel with no updates. Room smelled like it was in a damp basement.”

• Reasonable prices on this chain. Generally acceptable rooms.
• Only one small trashcan, all outlets in use. must unplug clock light to us my own devices. No temp control on refrigerator.

“The clerk said he was busy with a customer and would call back if I left a number. When I arrived, no king bed was available. I protested, but they said they could not hold such amenities. In addition, there was only one small trashcan in the room, all available outlets were in use. I had to unplug the clock or lights to us my own necessary electrical appliances. The refrigerator had no temperature control, risking freezing of insulin. The double bed was comfortable but cramped for two people.”

• The bed and pillows were absolutely GREAT!
• For the star-level it was very good!

“I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The comfort was very good and the accompanying breakfast was acceptable. It was clean and the staff were friendly.”

“This hotel has comfortable pillows and beds. The rooms are clean and adequate, but the staff is not friendly or helpful. They did not give me a receipt stating that I stayed at their location. The wake-up call didn't come on time.”

• Overall nice appearance and beautiful grounds.
• Broken basket on in-room coffeemaker.

• Front desk staff was very good.
• Non-smoking rooms raked of cigarette smoke.

“The staff was fine. I got a non-smoking room which raked of cigarette smoke. They changed the room, but the second room was just as bad. Spent most of the night fighting asthma as a result, interesting that it cleared if I stayed in the bathroom. Cigarette smoke stays in all porous surfaces including bedding, carpet, draperies, and wallpaper. The hotel made no effort to correct those when they made it a non-smoking room.”

• The complimentary continental breakfast was quite good.
• There was a large bug in the bathroom that frightened my daughter.

“The hotel was in a good location right off the interstate. Breakfast was great. The hotel assigned us to a smoking room and wanted to charge us extra to switch to a non-smoking room, so we went out and bought air freshener instead. The interstate traffic was noisy at times. Overall, an adequate place for a short overnight stay.”

• Staff was extremely helpful. I had a sick kid and they worked hard to help us.
• Rooms are in need of refurnishing. Building is old.

“My son came down with food poisoning on our trip. This was from a meal he ate in Florida. When we told the management we needed extra towels and stuff to clean up after he had been sick the management was extremely sympathetic and helpful. The hotel may be a little older but the rooms were clean and comfortable. I give the place two thumbs up.”

• It was close to I-95.
• Room was small, bare bones, heater was too loud.

“If you are just looking for a place to spend the night, this is OK. There isn't much of a neighborhood, but it is close to the I-95 off-ramp. The fan on the room heater was loud enough to disturb sleep. The door to the room didn't close right; it looked like someone previously had tried to break in. The free breakfast was nice.”

• Cheap.
• Roaches.

“Staff was versed on what to say Etchotel seemed on the edge of scary without any security present, the carpets were filthy and the walls had numerous roaches through the night. I mentioned it to the front desk staff as I left, but they really did not want to hear it.”

• I requested one room with two double beds.
• The front desk staff was not very helpful.
