  • The hotel was near Cracker Barrel.
  • The room was dirty.

“I was in room 303, this room smelled bed. The bathroom had the ours case of molded and mildew I have ever seen, the bathroom above leaked into my room. There was molded and mildew above the bed also. I am reporting this Hotel to the Health Department. I never want to stay here again.”

“Power went out, no power in the whole place, staff used candles to see. We had to tell them about the weather report. Rooms smelled, not very clean in appearance.”

  • Great location. Staff was nice.
  • Not enough towels for the 4 of us. Water drained very slowly in tub.

“The hotel was in a very convenient location, the staff was very nice, but there were not enough towels and when we asked at the desk, they didn't have anymore. The carpet was a little sticky. When we took our showers and baths, the tub had a very slow drain, so you ended up standing in water while showering.”

  • The free hot breakfast should be done away with.

“For the good name of Ramada, this hotel needs better management. The pool was dirty. They ran out of pool towels. The free hot breakfast should be discontinued. It was for only two people. I paid $12 for three children to eat cereal since the hot breakfast food was either empty or uncooked. Terrible way to leave your hotel over something that was free anyway. I won't return.”

“This was the worst night of sleep that I have ever had in a motel/hotel (and I've stayed in hundreds). The room was ridiculously loud and there was noise until way into the night (after 2 am) b/c of the hotel bar. Also, they only provided 3 towels for a room with double beds. They also said that they had pool towels at the front desk and didn't have any. The restaurant was supposed to open at 6:00 am and didn't open until 6:15 am. We were going to an early morning event, so this inconvenienced us further.”

  • It was cheap. Not the cleanest, but decent and cheap.
  • The free breakfast was horrible - even by cheap hotel standards.

“I wanted something cheap for one night as I was passing through town on my way to Myrtle Beach. Ramada's are typically nasty. This one is a notch above nasty. Don't bother with the free breakfast. Cold hash browns, watery eggs, and something that looked like chopped polish sausage. The pastries were under plastic and were very stale. The coffee was instant. McDonald's next door!”

  • The room smelled like smoke. The breakfast was the worst buffet I've ever seen. The kitchen staff was rude and unacceptable by yelling back at guests.

  • Easy to locate.
  • Dirty rooms, AC not serviced full of dust, couldn't use it.

“Just an ok place to stay, not very clean, not prepared for guests, said only certain rooms were prepared for guests and one of the rooms I booked was not suitable for us to sleep in. So all 4 of us slept in second room I originally booked for 2. I called the front desk and they didn't offer a different room, just said sorry. But when I checked out and told the girl at the desk, she said she was going to find a way to reimburse me for the dirty room.”

  • I liked that the room had a microwave & mini-fridge in it.
  • The wall border was falling and hanging off the wall.

“The staff was friendly, the room had a mini-fridge and microwave and the hotel was in a convenient location. That was all I liked about the hotel. The wall border was hanging off the wall; there were roaches in the room and bathroom; the door didn't fit the door properly and you could see straight outside, therefore there was a constant breeze blowing in through the night; there were no extra rolls of toilet paper in the room; there was no stopper in the tub to take my 7 month old a bath; the room was very dim and only had 1 lamp near the door and a double wall lamp in-between the beds but even with all of the lights on, the room was still very dim and dark; after our second night, housekeeping would come banging on the door everyday to clean our room because the front desk had our room on the list of "checking out" (we stayed 4 nights so we had this go on for the last 2 mornings of our stay); to piggyback off of the previous comment, our room keys were turned off and needed to be reactivated for the each of the last 2 days.”

  • Did not feel like the rooms were clean (seemed old and worried mattresses/blankets were not clean).

“This was convenient, but not what we expected. I felt like I needed to check under the sheets carefully before getting in the bed. Glad it was only for a one night stay while traveling.”

  • Filthy plumbing problems, smelly needs serious work.

“Stained carpeting, filthy upholstered furniture, entrance light did not work, bathtub would not drain, smelly, poor housekeeping, had great concern regarding possibility of bugs. But, even worse, were assigned to a room which may have been rented by the hour bed unmade, bathroom is disarray, etc. Did not even apology when desk was notified and we were assigned to another room.”

  • Convenient to where I had business.
  • Ice maker didn't work, hotel as a whole needs updating.

  • Room was not in main hotel area.

“Hotel had an attractive upscale look in the lobby area. Room did not have the upscale look of the rest of the hotel. Staff was friendly.”

  • Close to the interstate.
  • Only upstairs rooms available - no elevator.

“The hotel was close to the interstate and easy to find. The breakfast was good, but we had to pay extra for our teenaged son. The only available room was upstairs, and there was no elevator - which meant we had to lug our heavy suitcases up the stairs for a simple one-night stay. We used this hotel as a half-way stop between Virginia and Florida, and it served its purpose as a decent overnight stop. Nothing fantastic, though.”

  • Did not like anything about this hotel. Especially the cleanliness. Wallpaper pealing off the wall, carpet had odor, bed sinks in.
  • Coffee maker in room but no cups to drink from, mildew in bathroom, toilet seat cracked, AC temp control broke.

“You could not pay me to sleep in this hotel again, and if I ever have the misfortune of going to Florence South Carolina, I will stay at a hotel two exits away. I would rather be unconvinced than uncomfortable.”

  • Rooms not well cleaned.

“This hotel was a one and one half star at best. The lobby area, restaurant, and grounds were O.K. The rooms had mold/mildew in tub areas and room did not seem that clean. I expected little more than what I experienced. The location was the only reason not to complain.”

  • Old, beat up, worn out, out of date, dumpy, smelled.

“It was in poor shape, very dated, furniture was ragged, bathroom tub did not drain, shower head broken, room smelled like cheap cleaning fluid. The entire facility looks like it needs to be demolished and a new place built on the property.”
