  • Good location. Quick, easy checkout.
  • TV remote did not work. AC leaked water onto floor-very wet.

“The first room I had was very bad. After I notified, the office they sent a maintenance man and finally moved me to another room. The AC problem was very obvious (floor totally soaked) and they should not have used it. Otherwise it was what I expected.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • I liked its proximity to the hot spots.
  • The rooms were small and bathrooms.

“The location is great and it has a pool. But if you are looking for something a bit nicer, do stay here.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Convenient location if you want to hangout downtown. Close to all the bars, restaurants & shopping. Free parking is a bonus! Staff is friendly.
  • The bathrooms need updating. Walls and floors look rundown.

“I would stay here again, for the fact that its downtown and you can stumble back from the bars in minutes. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this is a good stay.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • Stuffy, the door needed to be slammed to secure it actually locked shut, unfriendly people at desk, no chairs at pool.

“The hotel itself was horrible. The guy at the desk acted like I was an inconvenience, the pool lacked decent place to lay out (3 lounge chairs), the room was stuffy and the door seemed to never lock shut behind me. I learned the hard way after coming back from being out that I just had to push it open, the only way to secure a tight lock was to slam the door. This was also an issue with a friend who was staying at the same hotel in a different room (they also had electric wires from the outlets loose).”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Great location for historic district.
  • Very limited parking. Leave for any reason and no space left.

“Not a romantic hotel, definitely not luxury, but if you want to experience historic Charleston with money left in your pocket, this is the place to stay. Easy walking distance to most historic sites/attractions/shopping/restaurants.”

  • Location, location, location!
  • Cigarette burns in tub.

“The days inn Charleston historic district is the perfect location, within walking distance to the market, many shops and great restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the ambiance of the room is lacking.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • Location.
  • Not well maintained and musty smelling. Outdated and in need of a serious upgrade.

“Very poor would never stay there again. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Not enough parking and I had to park in a parking garage around the corner. Bathroom had mildew in the tub. Carpet was dirty. Coffee maker was old and dirty. Bedding was outdated and worn. Paint was peeling from the ceiling. TV was probably 20 years old the remote was broken and it was so small I had to sit in a chair up close to watching it.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • Location was awesome.
  • Bathroom was not well lit, smelled funny at first.

“The room did smell a little funny the first night, but by the next morning and the rest of the time there, we did not notice a smell. Location was awesome. Reception desk lady could have been more personable, but the cleaning staff was great.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Staff was friendly and helpful, but had to address issues that should have been addressed before my arrival.
  • Needs some very serious updating especially electrically.

“This room was definitely not worth the money I paid. It smelled. The chair was too dirty to sit on. The battery kept chirping in the smoke detector. I had to take it off the wall and to the office for a new battery. There was no shower curtain. I had to go get one and put it up. Bed was not a queen, but rather a full. Micro fridge did not work. No iron in the room, but has an iron holder. Had coffee pot and coffee, but outlet didn't work. Not enough outlets in room. Extension cord seemed to overload as I tried to plug up an iron that I had thankfully brought. The room was in serious need of electrical updating. TV was tiny. I was given a handicap room which made for a nice big bathroom; however, I am not handicapped and have no sticker and therefore could not park in front of my room. As far as location goes, it was wonderful. However, there is a public parking lot almost directly across the street and you can park your car there for $7.00 per day. As I was checking out, I heard another customer complaining that their shower took an hour to drain and the commode was not working in their room. I also told the front clerk that the micro fridge did not work in my room. Her only comment to each of us was, "I'm sorry." I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.”
