“Receptionist was too busy reading a magazine to notice me walking in. Restaurant was open but the server/and?/bartender was out, so I waited several minutes nothing. Approached front desk, and finally a word was spoken to me I asked to be checked in, signed everything, and was taken to my room, was not offered help with luggage. Pillow cases were wrinkled and dirty. Bathroom soap was open. There was hair in the sink. I left for the evening and when I came back the comforter was on the ground in the corner of the room! I was grossed out. The following day came down, was not approached once again, nor was I offered breakfast or coffee, so I gathered my stuff and decided to leave early. The receptionist was rude, this was a different lady, and when I asked for management, she was it - She was rude from then on out, and I overheard her talking to someone in the kitchen being snotty towards me.”

“This is a lovely setting for very small groups (no more than 6), but not for larger groups. We had 39 people and the staff did not set up the tables before guests arrived, food was not served in a timely manner to all tables, and some of the food was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen. It didn't appear as if anyone was "in charge" of the staff and there were communication problems. I would not recommend sunny ledge for any large group and would hesitate to return.”

“We actually did not stay in the hotel. We arrived on August 26, 2007 at 1:30 PM for brunch. There were no parking spots in their tiny parking lot (it held about 8 cars) and a sign in the park saying that it was valet only. My boyfriend waited in the car while I went in to ask about the parking situation. When I went in, there was no one to help me at the door and about 3 staff members walked by me before someone asked if I needed help. I asked about the valet parking situation and she responded that there was no valet on Sunday before turning around. Someone else had to mention that parking could be found on the street because it was free on Sunday. We parked and came back in immediately. Again, no was at the door for assistance. A server came and rather rudely asked us if we had a reservation (the restaurant was about 1/4 full inside and only one table was occupied on the patio). We said no and asked for a table for two outside. She didn't respond, but just walked away outside. She returned a moment later and told us that it would be a minute. When our table was ready a few minutes later (again, every table was available outside but one), she said your table is ready as she walked past us. We went out to our table, unaccompanied, and found dirty plates. After no one approached us for our drink order, my boyfriend went inside to find assistance, and again, no one was available. We were so disgusted; we just got up and left without another word. The service was just terrible. We weren't expecting much, but what we got just was completely substandard. 0 stars, unless I can give -5.”

“Charming little getaway with a terrific young staff, eager to please! Rooms were clean and cozy w/ terrific jaccuzzi tubs. Tea was delicious, the bar was excellent and the surrounding area simply beautiful. I will definately go back again.”

“Sunnyledge is an extarordinary property. This magnificient boutique hotel is simply charming. I would say that due to its high style and sophisticated attmospere not everyone would appreciate it. Those who are use to the cookie cutter world of chain hotle might be better off at a holiday inn but those who enjoy quirky old mansions and european style should reserve a room.”

“A Very inviting oak paneled lobby was the first view of what waited us during our stay at Sunny ledge. The rooms while not gigantic were very lovely and comfortable. This is not the place for people that consider a Holiday Inn or Days Inn their favorite hotel chain. The Hotel is very much European in style, flair and attention to details. ”

“Overpriced; rooms tiny with no atmosphere; (public area is charming). Staff not exceptional for what they claim, Hotel is fine for tea, but would never stay here again”
