• Next to mellon arena. $5 cab ride to southside.
• Noon checkout.

“This hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly. The parking is well worth the $18. Was able to walk to and from Pens game across the street at Mellon Arena. Only costs a few dollars to take a cab to the bars in south side.”

• Close to the stadium. Offered a shuttle.
• Shuttle did not run at end of game.

“Cookies at check in where amazing. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Staff was very friendly. Dirty glasses where by our room door our entire stay and departure.”

“Our breakfast took over thirty minutes in the restaurant but was fortunately compensated. The poll was closed. We chose the hotel because of the pool. Neither Priceline or the hotel informed us before arrival.”

• Good breakfast at hotel's restaurant, downtown location.
• Smoking room given as non-smoking, room AC didn't work and was noisy.

“We had requested a non-smoking room. We were given a supposedly non-smoking room but it had a strong smoking smell everywhere. We had to leave the windows open and AC turned on throughout our 4 day stay. We were promised a new room on 2nd day but didn't get one as hotel was full. AC went down on 3rd day. It kept on switching between low-high-economy-auto modes every second, didn't honor the set temp and the switching was so noisy that I couldn't sleep. Parking was very expensive (18-20$). Maybe it was the downtown factor. In summary, if it would not have been the persistent smell of smoke in the room.”

• Shuttle service to stadium.
• I disliked underground valet parking and the inability to access my vehicle.

“This was a fine hotel. I have stayed at other Doubletree Hotels in the past and this one definitely met my expectations. I liked friendly staff and convenient shuttle service.”

• We were upgraded to a suite which gave us extra room.
• The pool was not available on Sunday evening.

“The place was great. Our suite was very nice, the location was convenient to downtown shopping and restaurants, and the shuttle service was very wonderful in taking us to places beyond walking distance. Great experience!”

• Friendly staff and excellent location.
• Hotel room was small.

“The hotel's location is excellent, within an easy walk of much to see. The room itself was small, but clean. We did not have time to use the pool or other facilities. The cookies at check-in were a nice touch and staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• The location and shuttle service was wonderful.
• Parking cost was very expensive.

“We were so delighted to find that the hotel was within walking distance of all the places we wanted to see in Pittsburgh. They also provided a shuttle service free of charge to any place downtown that we wanted to see. The rooms were very comfortable. We did not hear anything at all. We loved the small office area for computer WiFi service. All in all, we were very pleased and have recommended to many of our friends.”

• I felt comfortable as soon as I walked into the lobby.
• My room was laid out a little weird but it was ok.

“The hotel was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The common areas were clean and comfortable. I did not have much time in the hotel on this trip so I did not get to check out the fitness center or restaurants but I will definitely stay there again if I return to Pittsburgh.”

• The service was excellent and it was very clean and nice.
• Had to use valet and bell boy.

“Overall we loved this hotel. We have never stayed anywhere with valet and bell boys before, so that was strange for us. Also the free shuttle was late and we ended up not being able to use it. Overall this was a great experience though!”

“The Doubletree Downtown Pittsburgh was very conveniently located for a walk to PNC Park and to The Strip. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The room was nice both in size and appearance. The bed was very comfortable. I would look to stay here first the next time I go to Pittsburgh.”
