  • The beds were very comfortable.

“The hotel was nice and the room was very comfortable. The bathroom ceiling needed to be repaired and the air conditioner need to be cleaned as there was large amounts of lint in it.”

  • Location.
  • Parking fees.

“Check in was quick. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lots of nice seating in lobby areas.”

  • Bed was comfortable
  • Parking was $17/day

“Smallish rooms, unimpressive staff, and sparse amenities distinguish this Wyndham hotel. On one of the five days of my stay, housekeeping neglected to clean the room. Parking is limited to metered on-street parking or the hotel's valet parking at $17 per day. Room service is absurdly overpriced ($7.50 for coffee) and to add insult to injury there is a $2 delivery fee and 18% service charge.”

  • We were upgraded to the executive level.
  • We had to use their valet parking which we did not know about.

“Delightful hotel, Very helpful & friendly staff. Located on Univ. of Penn campus and walking distance to Carnegie Mellon. With the priceline discount - it was great.”

  • Comfortable rooms, great location, moderate rates, helpful staff.
  • No swimming pool, hot tub, sauna.

“The hotel is a friendly facility with ample size, clean rooms and most necessary amenities. The staff is anxious to please. Whatever needs one may have, if they not at the hotel, then they would surely be available close by.”

  • Good TV, comfortable chair in the room.
  • A lot of street noise gets into the room. Note that parking is charged and is expensive.

“A well located hotel with nicely appointed large rooms. The bathroom was fine, but not up to the level of the room itself vis a vis decor and appointments. The room was great for the Priceline price, but would have felt overpriced.”

  • Clean, convenient, friendly, free internet, slightly above basic room.
  • No free breakfast (not a big deal).

“Conveniently located in Oakland section of Pittsburgh on Forbes Ave. This is in the heart of student life for Univ Pitt students. Hotel is clean, professional, meets basic needs, nothing particularly fancy but nice.”

  • Valet parking.

“The hotel and staff was excellent. Our weekend stay in Pittsburgh was perhaps the most pleasant hotel we've ever experienced. The only negative was the obvious smoker in a nearby room, whose smoke came through the bathroom vent. Of course, this is difficult for a hotel to control.”

  • Great place and location.
  • Nothing.

“Hotel location was great. Very close to bars, stores and more all within walking distance. Hotels shuttle service was great!”

  • Location is great for visit to UPMC. Easy walking distance.
  • No pool, expensive parking.

“Hotel was perfect for our visit to UPMC. It was only a short walk up the hill. Also close enough to Carnegie Museum to walk. It would have been nice if hotel had a pool, however. My only complaint was that the parking seemed expensive ($16 per day) and was valet only.”

  • Convenient to Oakland and Pittsburgh.
  • Parking expensive, way too much street noise, bed too firm.

“This is a nice hotel if you don't mind the street noise. For some reason when they put new windows in they went cheep. I felt like I was on the street. The heater goes on and off like a cheap hotel. It is very convenient if you are in Oakland, PA.”

  • Location was perfect. Price was perfect.
  • Room was a little outdated. Bathroom issues.

“This hotel was in a great location in proximity to UPMC Presby. The price was excellent. Friendly staff. The hotel lobby is nice, but the rooms are outdated. The water in the shower was not very strong. The sink drained extremely slow.”
