• Clean.
• Computer facilities were terrible could only get if in lobby.

“Room was what was expected but the computer service was non existent. We had to move rooms and finally picked up the wireless connection from Panera rest. Which I used to do my work.”

• I liked how easy it was to find in the city and the Panera Bread in the hotel.
• It took a long time to get a taxi.

“The Hotel was very easy to find. It would be perfect for anyone going to an event at the Petersen Event center. It is very close. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. I will be staying here again.”

• The staff was mostly friendly/ smoker friendly.
• You can't order a movie from you room, staff not very familiar with surroundings or attractions. Smelly.

“We were on a mini honeymoon, for guests that just want to sit back and chill there was not much on TV and nothing to entertain in the hotel (can't order movies). We were 10 min. late checking out and one staff gave us quite an attitude. The other gentleman was very pleasant. And it would not hurt to modernize the hotel a little,(new TVs, a small fridge, a microwave).”

• General Location is ok.
• Very dirty room, front desk unhelpful.

“Not recommended if you need a cab. Location is somewhat near the Universities, but own transportation will be required. Good for smokers and those on a budget.”

• The staff was friendly, and efficient.
• Would have liked ice machines on every floor, price was a little high for the facilities.

“Hotel was easy to get to. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The nightly rate was a little bit high compared to similar hotels, but the overall experience was satisfactory. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be close to downtown and the university area.”

• It could have had better information about bus schedules.

• There's a freaking Panera.
• It seems like most of the hotel is "smoking", so there was a bit of a smell.

“Pretty standard hotel for the price. Ten minute walk to Pitt and Carnegie Melon, but if you're looking for something closer, there's a Holiday Inn. Select right next to the Cathedral of Learning (for about twice the price). The staff was very friendly, but the biggest plus was the Panera next to the lobby.”

• It was great that Panera was on the lobby level.
• The pillows were starched! Very uncomfortable. I also needed a computer to get my boarding pass the next day- there wasn't a computer in the hotel.

“I would recommend this hotel. It was in a good location to the downtown area. I thought the rate was a little high since the hotel didn't have a computer available to get our boarding passes. It's also nice having Panera in the hotel.”

• Clean, tidy, and convenient.
• Parking was a bit tight on a busy weekend.

“It worked out great and the amenities were comparable to my needs. The rate was considerably more reasonable than other locations. I'll stay there again.”

• The price was what initially attracted us.
• When we made the reservation, we were incorrectly told that we could use their shuttle to a concert. We had to find alternate transportation.

“The staff was not willing to help us find transportation to the concert. We were told that we could use it one way and we planned to taxi back. We were unable to get a taxi either way and had to ride a bus and walk a huge distance to the concert. We were very unhappy.”

• I loved that the hotel had a shuttle service.
• Room was a little small, but not a big deal.

“After reading some of the reviews I was a little worried about staying here. But for the price, and convenience, and the fact that it had a shuttle service, I was happy. The room was clean and staff friendly.”

• Friendliness of staff even at midnight.
• I was given a smoking room.

“I was not asked if I wanted a smoking room and unfortunately, I was given one. The room reeked of smoke and even though a cover up spray had been used. Since it was so late and I was leaving very early in the morning, I didn't complain.”

“The staff was very pleasant and helped in every way possible going even as far as printing driving directions and recommending restaurants in the area. The building could use renovations but my stay was very pleasant and affordable.”
