• New renovation.
• Bed bugs!

“I have never felt so abused and violated in my life and bed bug bites do not manifest fully for a day so I was gone from the hotel before what I thought were gnat bites (Charleston, sc ) became sores and red and itching, I have been bitten by just about everything, fleas, gnats, bees, spiders and the like, but nothing like this.”

• The staff was helpful, the room needed a couple of light bulbs replaced, we were cheerfully accommodated.

“Location was convenient, free breakfast buffet for military was appreciated. Staff was pleasant. Got a good restaurant recommendation from them. Upon getting out of our car in front of our room we were approached by a man with a hard luck story. Claimed he'd arrived by train the day before, had his luggage stolen, was in town for a job interview was starving and wanted us to go to McDonalds and bring him back a meal. We gave him 2 packages of crackers we had in our car and he was dissatisfied that that was our final offer. It was rather unsettling for us and certainly made us wonder about our security at the location - wondered what next? Fortunately that was our only negative experience in the area.”

• The dining area and people was pleasant.
• The room that I was in, was unsatisfactory and the bathroom area was substandard. This area had cracks in the wall and the ceiling and wasn't clean.

“The staff at the front desk was not helpful at all and the room was not good. The staff said that the hotel was full and we did not get another room. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Price was good for what we got-didn't expect much and didn't get much.
• The night we arrived we were not in the computer and problem was not fixed for several days.

“It was pretty clean and no frills. It was located near an airport but the noise was tolerable. Good location for getting on and off by-passes. No problems with late night noise or the area around the motel. All in all, it was worth to stay. Administrative staff could be better, but the motel employees were friendly and courteous.”

• Very limited cable TV like 20 channels mostly news, tiny fridge.

• Clerk kept me waiting while she visited with her friends.

“The hotel meets the expectations of a 2 star hotel and no more. It is an older hotel with outside entrance to the rooms.”

• Close proximity to local attractions.
• The manager gave me keys to a room that was already filled and then took 20 minutes to find me an available room.

“The amenities hadn't been updated in 20 years, the coffee machine was missing the filter A/C, the bed was sunk in the middle from where some fat person slept there for 10 years and the shower/tub was full of cigarette burns. The TV was the only decent item of interest.”

• Conveniently located to the interstate.
• After seeing the roach and then killing it. I promptly told the front desk. They offered no resolution.

• Location, lobby & dining facilities looked nice.
• We were on the back side of the hotel with entrance into the room from an outside hallway. Inner rooms facing pool would have been nicer.

“Economy hotel that fit what we needed for the night linens were lower thread count, worn some and rougher to sleep on. Had HBO though which was really nice. Overall for a one night stay, I would probably go there again because of convenience to airport easy drive back early in the morning.”

• I was actually afraid at this place.

“Never ever stay here. Do not bring a loved one here. Do not even bring your dog to stay here. I am not a man easily frightened but I was afraid staying just 1 night at this location. There 14 police cars outside my room with dogs!”

• I like the fact that they were willing to put me in a much cleaner room for the second night stay.
• The first room stunk and was dirty.

• The person, who checked me in, was not very courteous.

“When I arrived, who checked me in demanded my drivers license and credit card; she did not ask for it. She was absolutely not personable at all. The other clerks seemed pleasant but not her.”
