• Room was huge. TV's where amazing.
• They put a $60 hold on my CC for 7 days.

“Hotel was stellar. Big CLEAN rooms, Friendly staff. Unfortunately when they swipe you Credit Card to put it on file they put a $60 hold on the account.”

• Good breakfast.
• Poor safety, unhelpful night staff / security.

“When we first went to our rooms after check-in there were some young men standing around drinking beer in the parking lot area outside our rooms (this Residence Inn has an apartment style setting). Even considering this was Friday evening, this does not make a person feel safe. Certainly not a good location for families; maybe single guys doing construction work might find this location OK to sleep at night.”

  large. And I liked the balcony.

“Our stay at the Residence Inn was more than satisfactory. The room and public spaces were clean, the staff was extremely accommodating and solicitous of our comfort, and the hotel offered more amenities than I was expecting. There were fresh-baked cookies on arrival, and there is a hospitality hour most evenings - the evening we were there they had grill night - hot dogs & hamburgers (which we didn't take advantage of). The complimentary breakfast was great - hot and cold options and staff that kept it clean and stocked. The fitness room, open 24 hour hours, was more than adequate with two treadmills and an elliptical machine, each with individual TV screens, hand weights and a weight bench. The kitchen in the room was a full kitchen (full-sized range and refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave), and there was adequate, clean cutlery & dishes, etc. We asked for an hour-late check out and were given it cheerfully. All-in-all would highly recommend this Residence Inn.”

• The hotel is close to my family in N. Charleston.
• The hotel cleaning staff knocked on the door too early.

“If checkout is not until noon, why does the cleaning staff knock want to start cleaning the room at 9:30. It's the holiday. Guest will be sleeping in late.”

• Accommodations were excellent, breakfast was super.
• AC in one room was not working.

“Four adults and five children stayed in two adjacent studio suites. Children slept in pull out couches quite comfortably. It was very convenient for Grandparents, Parents and children. Service was friendly and very accommodating.”

• The nicest, friendliest staff I have ever met. Beautiful, comfortable room.

“The Residence Inn of North Charleston welcomed us like family, only they were nicer than my family. The room was cozy, comfortable and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of puffy down pillows. The room was like a spacious efficiency apartment with all the amenities for a day or a week (we were only there overnight.) The only thing missing--the fireplace didn't work! We went down to breakfast the next morning, to be greeted by the friendliest, cheeriest staff I have ever met at a hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and appetizing, and included hot fresh pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs; a variety of breads, bagels and muffins; oatmeal with all the fixings; cold cereal and yogurt; fresh whole fruit and a fruit salad; a variety of juices; and lots of hot coffee. The dining/sitting area was festively decorated for Christmas just like someone's home (an especially beautiful home.) But definitely my favorite part about this hotel was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.”

• The great breakfast offered each morning!
• No DVD player in room.

“This hotel was a nice comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed the room and staff at the hotel, who made all efforts to make our stay enjoyable. It was a little drive from downtown Charleston, but worth it for the price and quality of what you got staying there.”

• The highway noise.

“This beautifully furnished room not only had lovely linens and towels, it comes with a full kitchen! We wished it was further from the highway because of the noise.”

• Enjoyed the roominess and the breakfast was great.
• Had a problem with the toilet, it was clogged and was up until midnight trying to unclog it.

“The hotel was great; the people were nice and the breakfast was wonderful, but the toilet was a whole different situation.”

• The hotel is set up just like you are living in an apartment. It's very private.

“I enjoyed my stay! Check in was at 3:00PM but I needed to check in early. That was not a problem I was able to check in before 1:00PM. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, The kitchen was clean with update appliances. Everything was very nice. The location perfect for shopping, dining, etc. It's located right off of the interstate. You can park your car and walk to the resturants, the mall, ice skating, the movie theater was shut down but there is so much you can do.”
