“There was a roach on the carpet, and the A/C leaked water. The room smelled of cigarettes, and we had requested a non-smoking room. I would give it a below-average for cleanliness because of the roach and smoke and water leak. I would not stay there again.”

• The room accommodated myself and two kids.
• Close to the interstate.

“When we got up to the room, I noticed the garbage in the kitchen and bathroom had not been emptied. The coffee maker was dirty and they did not replenish the coffee. The room smelled misty and there was crap in the hallway on our way out the elevator to the room. The stair case smelled like rotten garbage.”

• Close to malls and decent restaurants.
• Lack of staffing. Tub was not very clean. Charged for internet access.

“Great for business travelers who need to stay for at least 5 days. Full kitchen, comfortable beds, all amenities furnished. Efficiency apartment style. Very few cable channels. My home was under construction and it was nice to be able to cook for myself.”

• The room was well appointed, comfortable, well layed out, and pleasant to stay in.
• I had trouble with the internet access, and could not get online for 3 of the 5 days I was there.

“I would recommend this hotel to others who appreciate the benefits of staying in a room with such a nice kitchen, and all the comforts of home. It was great to cook in my room and enjoy my own food.”

“This hotel was affordable and in a convenient location. It wasn't very clean, but it wasn't horrible. Not bad for a quick night stay. Would not recommend it for extended stays.”

• Nothing; it had roaches.
• The manager tried to make excuses for their roach problem. The phone did not work.

“For 3 nights, I did not have a working telephone in my room. The manager did not offer to comp my room nothing. Kept promising me another room that they did not have. I found a huge roach in my room. They came in and take the roach, but did not freshen up the room. I did not get a comp until my last night, because I had to stay an additional night. What a disastrous weekend!”

• Convenient to all points of interest in Charleston.
• The 2nd floor hallway reeked of smoke, but the room was fine.

“This was a bare bones motel. The outdoor pool was closed. No morning coffee or pastries available as in most other locations. The room was adequate as an extended stay unit. Nicely equipped mini-kitchen, full sized refrigerator, microwave as well as stove/oven, with place settings for two. Pots and pans, act. The staff closed up and went home after 1000 pm. Room key cards gave access to entrances. Still a good value for the price paid.”

• The spatial room is the only thing I can say about this hotel.
• Strong smoke smell, disgusting.

“Strong smoke smell, disgusting! Front desk staff took a rest after 11:00pm and never picked up the phone. No shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The towel smelled so bad.”

• Equipped kitchen, table & chairs, and recliner.
• No hair dryer, daily maid service costs $ both should be standard.

“Hotel was "functional" but I really appreciated the in-room kitchen-saved me big bucks on having to eat out. And the recliner and reading lamp made my stay.”

• The elevator has a smell to it and very slow.

• It was convenient to what I wanted to see and do.
• I was surprised that there was no shampoo supplied.

“For an older hotel, it was pretty well maintained. There was no restroom near the pool, though there was a building there that could have been used for one. The lack of guest shampoo was surprising. I will consider this hotel for my next visit to Charleston.”
