Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • The pool and walking distance to outside cafes
  • Cramped rooms, no self serve coffee in morning, high price.

“Charming, some of the staff were super nice, and the pool made up a little for not being Oceanside. Greatly disappointed not to have the choice of Oceanside hotel. The price we paid was only $10 less than regular internet price without the choice of water view or breakfast, as we would have paying internet price. We are switching to Hotwire for better choices and prices.”

  • Restaurant is very inviting.
  • Maintenance needs updating.

“Nice location and ambiance. Needs major improvements and room was extremely small. The restaurant is outstanding both in food and ambiance. Certainly the crown jewel of the place. Good location in comparison to the more pricey hotels in Palm Beach area.”

  • Convenient to my project.

“I was charged $8 for a resort fee, which was absurd. I did not find out until I checked out. There was only 5 people booked in the hotel? The hotel is empty and they put me in a room facing the inside and the roof top of their 2nd flow. I guess they don't know how to build business and exceed any ones expectations. I will not be back.”

“We checked in, but did not stay. We ended up securing accomodations at a neighboring Hilton hotel for only $10 more a night, with the quality we expected at Gulfstream. In our opinion, the hotel resembled more of a 2 star than a 3 star hotel. ”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Staff went out of their way to make sure we had items missing in our room replaced quickly.
  • A little bit further from people we wanted to see while in Florida.

“My wife was a little concerned about staying at the hotel having lived in the area and knowing the history of the area and hotel. We both were very happy with the room, staff and the hotel in general.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location and value were very good.
  • They tried to service out room while we were in it and then forgot about it. The hotel refunded us the hotel service charge.

“This hotel, probably dating back to the 20's, is located on the inland waterway and seemed to be in good condition. There was a small park area between the hotel and the water. The rooms were cozy, clean and appeared to be freshly painted. The front desk staff were very professional and extremely helpful and it was a pleasure dealing with them. Parking was located behind the building but the spaces were a little tight. Within easy walking distance was a convenient shopping area with restaurants. We felt this hotel was a good value.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • I was given a suite room and didn't even know it.
  • There were water stains on the ceiling/walls.

“This hotel had great bones. You could see the potential for a beautiful old style hotel. While there was cracking paint, worn out carpet, etc, I didn't get the impression that things were dirty where I was avoiding walking on it, etc. It has great potential if all the upkeep problems of a hotel could be rectified. But the workers were great, the pool was perfect and I loved the outdoor bar. So the service was excellent. Our a/c unit made a lot of noise when running but did work. And it was in walking distance to a cute downtown area.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • Staff was very friendly and the food was good.
  • Rooms, carpeting and general condition is closer to a 1 star than a 3 + star.

“I have never felt so deceived as I did by the 3+star rating this hotel claimed to have. The general look and condition of the room was worn out and depressing. Lighting in the room didn't work, air conditioner (stuck in the window) was supplied power by an orange (probably not up to code) extension cord. Water in the sink was actually yellow. Shower had virtually no water presure.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • The location was very good
  • Hotel was in disrepair with peeling paint, worn out carpeting and rust in the bathroom

“I thought the hotel was horrible and should never be rated a 3 star. It was not kept up with. We had to change our room because the paint was leterally peeling off the ceiling. The room we finally stayed in had a stained ceiling, worn out carpeting and rust on the bathroom fixtures”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • I had a great deal of trouble checking in.
  • Swimming pool was very small. There was no hot tub.

“This was a nice hotel. It met my expectations. Staff was kind to you as long as you were kind to them. Meechee (hostess) went above and beyond her call of duty. When we had trouble checking in and she was kind enough to give us complimentary dinner for 4 at their restaurant. The restaurant was very nice also. Although a small hotel, I would go back.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Lovely old fashinioned, but well maintained hotel.
  • Doors were too small for their frames letting in light and noise from the hallway.

“I loved this place. They allowed us to pay a little more for an upgrade to a suite which we really liked. The pool area is nice, the lobby and grounds are wonderful. ”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[6] • Location:[10]

  • very clean, great location
  • They charged an additional $5/day for use of their facilities

“I did not like how they charged additional $5/day for use of their pool, room phone, internet service (which did not work in our room. I never used any of these things and furthermore, they should be included in the price of the room. other than that, the hotel is very clean and contemporary and in a great location to the beach.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • Restaurant was very good
  • Paint peeling off walls & ceilings. Doors wouldn't lock, musty smell, Poor maintenance

“Walking into the hotel, you have the impression that it is a renovated older hotel - not the case. Maintenance and general repairs are far down the list. Not favorable to computer users or those who have work to do. I was definitely robbed for the cost!”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Great location and free wireless access
  • They tried to charge an additional daily resort fee

“A nice old hotel within easy walking distance of Lake Worth's business district and restaurants. It was a welcome change from the usual generic hotel chain located in a business park.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[9]

  • Location and view
  • It is an old, seedy, dump of a hotel. Does not resemble web site at all.

“I was so disappointed. The hotel's web site photos do not look like the actual hotel. Very misleading. The hotel is old and in desperate need of paint, carpeting, bedspreads, furniture, etc. The room and elevators smelled awful. Hallway lighbulbs needed replacing, ice machine didn't work. The parking lot is down an alley that gave me the creeps when it was dark. The location was good as far as getting to the beach and into Palm Beach and the view of the water was nice. ”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

“The location is a relatively short walk from some fairly decent eating establishments. The Pelican" restaurant about 4 blocks away is a MUST for those who appreciate a good short order breakfast. The hotel shows its historic charm in the lobby, but the rooms are nothing to brag about. The nearby bar/restaurant area seemed populated by an older, mature crowd which was good, but things got pretty quiet after 10 p.m. Not the place to go for the "party crowd.""”

  • Everything.

“Not a class 3 hotel (which is your highest rating). Should have been rated far less than 1 star. In a very bad neighborhood, hotel room was dirty. Hotel was old and unkept. I was sorely disappointed.”

  • Room to small, lights and clock did not work, fan in bathroom was broken, pool had used condoms floating in it.

“Though the lobby and restaurant was nicely decorated the rooms were in poor shape. Bedding had seen better days. Bathroom was extremely small. I was NOT impressed with this property at all.”
