• It was so nice to have washer/dryer in our room, the private beach was great.
• I don't like having to use valet service every time I go somewhere.

“This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at on the beach for the price. We loved our room, the spaciousness, the view, the flat screen TV, the washer/ dryer, the mini kitchen all of it. We will definitely stay here again and again. The private beach was great. It was more than we expected.”

• The View of the ocean is spectacular!
• Parking situation, In-room internet connection, and cold water in shower.

“Beautiful hotel. Great view of the ocean. Spacious and clean suite. Two main gripes: I had no internet connection in my room; and really had no hot water in the shower.”

• Complimentary valet parking as well as a room with a full wall of windows.
• Hotel staff was not very friendly, did not explain the benefits/amenities when checking in.

“The location is great, the hotel is easy to find. There is complimentary valet parking and a public parking lot across the street (beach parking). The check-in staff were not friendly and did not welcome us or explain the amenities that came with our stay at the 'resort'. The room is nice, it has good features, such as flat screen television, lounge area and the bed was comfortable. The small balcony was dirty and awkward to stand at and see the ocean. Had a great view from inside the room through the wall of windows. The bathroom has been updated since original construction and has nice features, such as large tub and separate shower area. Overall I would probably not stay at this location again. The only feature that was worth the cost was the ocean view/proximity to the beach.”

• Beautiful beachfront hotel great balcony.
• I loved everything about this hotel.

“Beautiful beachfront hotel with many amenities. Room had 2 European style beds plenty of pillows great mattress. Also great kitchen area beautiful bathroom and washer and dryer. Plenty of closet space and towels galore. Great hotel staff. Great valet service and beach cabanas. Great housekeepers room was immaculate and one day I left a do not disturb sign on the door and was left a note that they had left extra towels toiletries and coffee at the desk, wow. Great service. I would definitely go back in a heart beat. Wish I had a million dollars. I would spend a lot of my time at this beautiful hotel and spa. I would recommend this place to everyone.”

• The beach.
• Just about everything.

“This hotel was horrible we got to our room the beds had been remade not changed there was lipstick (I think) or something on the sheets and comforter and the bed was sloppy the floor was very sticky and the Jacuzzi was very nasty ordered drinks from pool side bar never received the drinks ate dinner at hotel we were 1 of 3 patrons in the restaurant took over an hour to receive food after ordering. Was very unpleasant stay to say the least?”

• The decor was updated in the room.
• No full size kitchen, 2nd bedroom was in the living area.

“The location is excellent; just on the beach. The decor was updated and new. I was expecting a full kitchen with 2 separate bedrooms but 1 bedroom was actually the living area - no privacy. It was a bit small for a 2 bedroom suite. I have stayed at other timeshare-type hotels and this was not what I expected. I would rather stay at Palm Aire or Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort next time.”

• On the beach, private beach, heated swimming pool, ocean view.
• The maids for some reason did not clean the glasses on a couple of days. $18 per day resort charge.

“The ocean sands resort spa in pompano beach is really a 4 star hotel. Directly on the beach with private access, ocean view rooms, kids play set, putting green, flat screen television (which you evidently can not hook any other audio equipment into such as computer or DVD player), nice staff, good food and valet parking. You also have gym access as well as an onsite spa. There is an $18 per day spa fee charged to cover the internet connection, gym access, local & 800 calls and beach cabañas which we were not aware of until check in. Also, the maids did not replace our drinking glasses with clean ones on a couple of nights - they simply placed them back on the shelf (I¿ve seen others complain about this). You really aren't in walking distance of too much of anything, but the room service was pretty good and relatively inexpensive. If you are looking for a nice, family-friendly place that is upscale, you can't go wrong with ocean sands. ”

• Beautiful room, bathrooms, location.
• Staff were no help, housekeeping never made beds, restaurant dirty.

“This hotel is beautiful with renovated bathrooms and very comfortable accommodations. Gorgeous view. Situated right on the beach. Two nice heated pools. The staff were no help whatsoever. Bed too high for my 83 year old Mom to get up on, so we asked for a stepstool. Told by one person it would be delivered, never came. Asked 2 more people with no luck. Had to take the bed apart so she could get in. (very comfortable beds, though) Housekeeping showed up at the end of the day when we were showering and said either they cleaned then or they were leaving for the day...so we got new towels; no bed making two days in a row. Restaurant tables were covered in something like furniture polish that had not been wiped off, slimy. Dirty napkins. They are trying to sell condos there, so it seems the present travelers in their hotel are not their priority.”
