  • Ocean front location. Close to Charleston and great shopping.
  • That we had to leave.

“We spent the 4th of July holiday weekend at The Sanctuary Hotel, at Kiawah Resort, in Kiawah, South Carolina. This 5 star, 5 diamond family-oriented resorts is located in a very natural environment, within 30 minutes of Charleston. Great for couples or families. Beautiful Grand Lawn faces ocean, with spa, great restaurants, bicycle trails, separate kids and adults pools, and ocean golf course. Two deer walked through the dunes at 3:00 PM in the afternoon. Great kids programs! Extremely romantic environment! Peaceful, great place to recharge the batteries. There are lots of people walking the beach in the early morning and evening. Bohicket Marina is close by (near Seabrook Island Resort). Rose Farms Cafe (next to the Marina) has made from scratch Southern food. We were surprised how far some of the guests had traveled to come to this awesome resort. Accommodations range from garden view to Dunes View, (request "2nd floor dunes view, it is much better) and Ocean view rooms and suites. If you are booking an Ocean view room, be sure to request one overlooking Grand Lawn, which overlooks the ocean. We are well traveled throughout the southeast and this is the best resort we have experienced so far.”
