• Everything else.

“The bed was like a valley. The worst part was the massive owner who screamed at my wife because, apparently, our dog was too large. Please don't stay here.”

“The staff wasn't that friendly and not very professional. The 1st room we were given was on the 10th floor - there were chips in the tile floor; the light cover was missing in the closet & only one of the lights worked; the security latch on the inside front door was broken; the mattress on one of the beds was broken (springs were shot); the walls were unpainted & had scratches & holes all over as well as stains of unknown sources. The 2nd room we were given was on the 2nd Floor - the window & door latches/locks were all broken, no security whatsoever; the mattresses on both beds were broken (again, the springs were shot); holes in the walls; light cover next to one of the beds was broken. I could go on & on, but I think this should pretty much make anyone not want to stay at this hotel. One last thing; on top of everything else, they charge you for parking outside when you pull up & they park your car; then they also include a charge for parking on your bill for the room.”

• The view of the ocean was great.
• The building needed many repairs.

“We stayed in Ocean Manor Resort for 4 days. During that time, we noticed that the building was in great need of repair. There were broken mirrors in the elevator area that was repaired with duct tape, stains on the floors, cracks in the walls, air vents that need to be cleaned, debris piled on rooftops and horrible paint jobs. Also there was a great deal of unsupervised young (meaning well under 25) people there, and they were hosting graduation parties for high school children. It was loud, obnoxious, and there was a fight in the lobby. Every time we went outside, we were stopped and asked if we were guests at the resort. It was really annoying. In the pool area, they were blasting loud music with foul language and suggestive material in full listening range of small children. The drinks at the Tiki Hut were poorly made and outrageously expensive. The room we were staying in was very small, with poor plumbing, a bathroom door that wouldn't close and cracks in the counters and the floors, not to mention the shocking yellow walls, white trim, and green ceilings that made you feel like you were sleeping in a Sprite can. The air conditioning unit was very dusty and sounded like a truck running all night. However, the view was wonderful, and, since the weather was great, we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. All in all, not one of my better resort experiences. We won't be staying there again.”

• Liked being able to look out onto the Ocean.
• Small room-no coffee pot, no light in shower, one wastebasket, for the whole place, air conditioner did not work.

“It most certainly did not appear to be newly renovated. Stayed for 2 nights and the patio door lock did not work, reported it the first day and again in the evening. Reported it the next morning. Was never fixed. We were on the 5th floor so normally that would have been okay if we had a separate patio, but it was shared by three or four rooms as it was not divided by a wall. So the danger of someone walking into our room anytime of the day or night was possible!”

• Best part was leaving it behind us.
• Disgusting conditions, nasty staff.

“Badly maintained, poorly managed flophouse. Hallways with peeling paint, taped-down carpet, low voltage lighting. Room with doors that wouldn't open and windows that wouldn't close, decades-old bedding and sparse mismatched furniture. Cold showers in a moldy bathroom. There were cheap plastic lawn chairs on our ocean front balcony, but cooking odors and cigarette smoke from the noisy tiki bar below made it unusable. Complaints were met with shrugs and ignored. Inattentive valet-only parking staff, slovenly cleaning crew reusing bedding and towels, desk clerks who would rather talk on the phone, all expecting a daily tip. ”
