• It is a dump, AC did not work, continental breakfast is a joke.

“The only plus for this hotel is it is location across from the beach. The place is a dirty dump that is only open to collect money while waiting for real estate prices increase to make sale of the property feasible for the owners.”

• No ice machine, safe didn't have a key, iron didn't work.

“For the price, great! Excellent location near the beach, business and airport. I'd stay there again.”

“I felt as the room was not clean. The bedspread had a hole in it. I had to wait for a room to be cleaned after it was given to me because they hadn't cleaned it after the last person left.”

• Rooms were below average.

“The hotel was not all that bad but the rooms could use an upgrade. Location to the water is unbeatable. It was loud due to the slamming of hotel doors because they all seemed to stick when opening and closing.”

• It is very close to the beach.
• Didn't get into the room until 1 1/2 hrs past listed check in time. When we walked in maid was using the microwave to heat soup.

“If you want to be as close as possible to the beach, this is the place to be. All of the air conditioners are insanely loud. The hotel appears to be very old. Our carpet was not vacuumed. Took them forever to check us in. They are friendly, but they don't appear to care about working quickly.”

• Location to beach was GREAT! Good parking.
• It was very run down, old, bed spread was dirty, no elevator.

“Great location, across the street from the beach, was the ONLY good thing about this hotel. It is very old, internet is only in "common areas" when it was working, no elevators, room was very out dated, bed spread was dirty, air conditioner was old and LOUD, room service didn't knock before entering, hope to never have to stay there again.”

• Rooms were nasty, the exercise room was terrible, breakfast was a joke, terribly disappointed.

“From the moment we walked into the room I was thinking that I was going to leave with bed bugs, after inspection I found dirt, an apple, and just filth under the bed, hair all over the mattress pad under the sheets. The room made me feel like I needed to take a shower even before I went to the beach. The exercise room had two one pound dumbbells, and two fifty pound dumbbells, no joke, and very old non usable equipment. The continental breakfast was a white bagel that you had to get there early for and orange juice served in a Dixie cup the size that you have in your bathroom to rinse your mouth out, yeah like two ounces. The location was prime right across the street from the beach, that's all we can say that was nice. We could not wait to leave!”

• The pool area was nice, and the proximity to the beach was a real perk.
• At breakfast they would run out of orange juice or coffee and would never replenish.

• Location, proximity to beach. however, even this positive point was not enough to overcome the poor conditions at the facility.
• Musty, mildew smells, dirty, rusty, etc.

“This only redeeming quality about this hotel is it's location. Even that was not enough to overcome the shortcomings of this facility. The rooms were musty and mildewing. The facility was in poor upkeep, trash on the grounds, trash bags sitting out, rusty, torn carpets, too many things like this to list. Ultimately, we viewed 8 rooms to find one that we thought we might be able to stay in. The first ones viewed were either dirty or the musty/mildew smell was too strong immediately entering the door to continue into the room. Even the maintenance person said he had allergies and it was difficult for him to work in the rooms because of the mildew/mustiness. We were in the last available room without carpet for about 20 minutes when we started having physical reactions to the mustiness. Itchy nose, runny eyes, etc. When we went to the desk and informed them we would not be able to stay in the hotel because it was effecting our health. On Monday, we called the manager and explained the situation. The manager was rude and angry saying they had never had complaints that of mustiness/mildew and she would speak with the people who were there on Friday during the 2 hours I was at the hotel trying to find a room that might work. The manager promised to call me back that afternoon. It has now been 3 days, the manager still has not called back. I have called there each day, but am told the manager is not there. I leave a message and ask the manager to call me back. I'm not holding my breath. While I was at the hotel trying to find a room that was not musty/mildew I noticed others arrive and leave in disgust at the condition of the facility. The location of this hotel is GREAT. It is a valuable piece of real estate. I expect the property owners will soon make a mint when they sell the property for development.”

• Location was across from beach. Appeared to be safe.
• No wireless internet in rooms. Very old hotel.

“Rooms were spacious and clean. Excellent location across from the beach and within walking distance to some bars and cafe's. Older hotel with years of wear but clean. Pool needs upgrading.”

“It was pretty good. The air condition in our room did not work. We called the front desk to tell them and they said they would send someone right out. We waited for quite awhile for someone and then called again. They had forgotten we called the first time. But they did upgrade us to a very nice room after this, so it all worked out.”

• Location to the Fort Lauderdale beach.
• I did not liked the service, room and the guests.

“I would never stay at this hotel again. Further, I would never recommend the hotel. After being gone for the day, we came back to find no maid service at 6pm. Also, a group of people came loudly into their rooms after midnight, and at 2:00 a.m. they were still talking loudly and laughing and allowing their children to run between rooms, crying and screaming.”

• Filthy and disgusting, loud, building in disrepair.

“The hotel was disgusting. The railings and gates were falling down with caution tape around them. The room was filthy. I refused to shower in the bathroom because the tile was black with mildew and there was hair everywhere. The toilet ran constantly. There were gaping holes between window panes that allowed me to hear every conversation of the other tenants staying next door to me. I got less than 2 hours of sleep because of the noise and cold coming through the windows. I would hate to see what it is like during the busy season. The only redeeming factor was that it is located on the beach. But then again, there are many other hotels on the beach that were in much better shape. ”
