• The room was a suite and had a nice water view from the balcony.
• It was far from many of the beach bars and downtown spots.

• Nicely appointed room in a great location.
• Very poor elevator service.

“ Hotel room was very nice, with 2 plasma TVs , nice kitchen. Room could have used a second mirror outside of bathroom. At least one (if not two) of three elevators were out of service. Fitness room needed gym wipes, plus better replenishment of water and towels. Hallway had spilled popcorn for 3 days before being vacuumed. ”

• Great view of river, close to shops/restaurants, nice outdoor spaces, very romantic!
• Elevators were very slow. Event downstairs was a little loud.

“Great hotel. Very nice space, great for romantic getaway. Outdoor seating area on the river was very nice. Spacious balconies. Good service. Clean, modern rooms with comfy beds. Perfect for what we were looking for!”

• Very nice hotel in a real nice location. Real handy to local transportation.
• They hold you to the 3pm check in.

• The suites were wonderful and location is on water taxi route.
• The self parking lot is down the block and hard to find.

“The rooms are spacious and comfortable suites. There's a full kitchen, living room and bedroom with a patio. The hotel is on the intercostals on the water taxi route. The self parking lot is down the block and not all that convenient. The valets aren't very helpful. Otherwise, it's a great hotel.”

• Nicely appointed two-room suite.
• Bed too soft.

“Nice hotel located on north end of beach. Surrounding area needs to be brought up to rest of Ft Lauderdale. Somewhat distant from main beach shopping/dining. Second time staying there for business/leisure.”

• The restaurant facilities for lunch or dinner had a extremely limited menu.

• Big, comfortable room.
• Noise from traffic on drawbridge.

“Very nice, new room feels first class. Pleasant outdoor bar and restaurant. 10-minute walk to beach but it's not much of a pedestrian area. The sidewalk is safe from traffic but some travelers could feel a little unsafe in this neighborhood. Noise from traffic could disturb some light sleeping travelers, even with windows closed. You can't sleep with windows open, even on the side away from the traffic.”

• Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, room was beautiful and location was great!
• Only one ice machine for 14 floors.

“When we first entered our room, my boyfriend and I knew it was going to be a great stay. The room was luxurious and beautiful with a great balcony. The pool area was clean and very attractive with comfortable seating areas by the pool and also facing the canal the hotel was located on. Location was also great - the beach, a fantastic mall and restaurants were within walking distance. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They answered questions from where to get the best sushi to where to get the best spa treatments and their advice was great. The bar next to the pool area was a nice touch and we got some great pina coladas, too! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Fort Lauderdale area.”

“Overall, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and a very large room. The suite appears to have been recently updated and features a very nice kitchen that allows the average family the opportunity to eat in. The location of the hotel however is horrible. It is off of the beach, far from the central dining/attractions in Ft. Lauderdale, and the noise will keep you up all night. In addition, the maid service was awful. They didn't change the sheets and often didn't restock items like the shampoo, coffee, or towels. Also there is only 1 ice machine for the entire 14 floors and it never worked. Don't rely a cold drink on any given day. The pool was small, but rarely had guests at it, so it wasn't difficult to get a chair or towel. However, the lack of a working chair was something you had to search hard for. In summary, I definitely would not suggest this particular location to anyone.”

• Nice and spacious rooms.
• Felt like a second class citizen. Pool was small and hot tub broken.

“Very nice rooms, very spacious and nice amenities for the price. The staff weren't very warm or friendly and I couldn't help but feel they didn't want to go out of their way. I watched several other customers check in early. The hot tub was out of service and the pool area very small.”

• I liked the location of the hotel.
• The room was too small to be called "suite".

“Called the room service a couple of times for which I was told to call the housekeeping unit, when called the housekeeping, I kept getting an answering machine. I was told the room has a king size bed which was not the case; the room had a queen size bed.”
