• Clean, pretty, nice area, pool and close from the sea, access internet.
• No refrigerator, no micro.

• The hot tub was not clean. There were strange drunk people around.

“We stayed here pre-cruise. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants.”

• The rooms are newly remodeled and very contemporary. The staff was very friendly.
• The property is old, so areas that were not renovated yet were pretty run down. Stairs needed work and no elevator available.

“I did not have high expectations of this hotel at all, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is newly remodeled and very contemporary. Furnishings are all new, carpets and countertops are new as well. The bathroom area has wood floors (very nice) and granite countertops. I was not expecting this of a 2 star hotel at all. Free Wi-Fi was available, as well as a computer area. Rooms have TV, telephone, iron & board, hair dryer and coffee pot. Continental breakfast is available. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. The hotel is still being renovated, although no work was done during our stay. No elevator is available and the stairs are in need of replacement. It is an old property, but La Quinta is making a good effort to clean the place up. I had a very good experience with Meredith at check-in. She was very friendly as were the other staff we encountered.”

• Rotted steps, ancient decor, old.

“Steps were rusted through to see daylight. Given bad instructions regarding check in causing 2 trips. Old decor, will not stay there again, ever.”

• It was very clean. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever had.
• Had to walk a ways to get to the room.

“I thought it was one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. It had every thing that we needed and was very comfortable and a very good location.”

• Friendly staff.
• There was a used tampon in the lawn outside of our room, the room had what appeared to be feces smeared on the side of the sink.

“Although the location is great, the cleanliness was not. Additionally, the Florida language institute is adjacent to the hotel, which meant that there were about 200 high school age teens staying at the hotel. There was a used tampon in the lawn outside of our room. Additionally, there were what appeared to be feces smeared on the side of the bathroom sink. The public restroom by the pool had urine all over it.”

• Location was very nice.
• The bathroom was moldy and overall in very poor condition.

“I would not recommend staying at this hotel until the remodeling is complete. Even at that, our room was untouched on the second night of our stay. We had to go to the office and pick up clean towels for our use the next day. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay at this liquate.”

“This la Quinta was not up to the two star rating. The property is very much in need of a major overhaul. Overall very worn and with a lot of sea air rust on items such as light fixtures. Would not stat there again.”

• Free internet is great and the air conditioning was great.
• Yellow/brownish water from sink and tub and poor service (did not get room service one night).

“Most disappointing was having brown/yellow water from sink and tubs every day. Very disgusting. Also, one evening we did not get our room serviced. We requested new towels from the desk and no one came to replace our towels. The room reeked of old cigarettes/mold.”

• Maid cleaned well breakfast staff good.
• Grounds and facility not well maintained.

“Metal railings rusting, debris in bushes (cigarette butts, plastic bottles, papers) really needs painting in the stairwells and the dolls and walls outside really are discolored and need a paint job. Once you get past the lobby and the breakfast room it has a seedy look. The patio outside where you can eat had dirty tables every time we walked by.”

• Staff was helpful in allowing 20 different guests find clean rooms.
• First room I was given was very dirty, outside doors were dirty as was exterior walls.

“It looks like the hotel is in some kind of transition. The lobby is very clean and nice but the rooms were unattractive and many of them were dirty and had stained carpeting and wallpaper. They should not have put guests into a portion of the hotel that was not ready.”

• Noisy all night. Woke up with our door taped off (crime scene--crime in next room).

“This hotel has issues. We were in a crime zone. Our neighbors were loud. In the morning, our room was taped off. We were in a crime scene. The police said the hotel management lets in many undesirables and they are always there. I did not pay to have my children be in danger. ”

• The continental breakfast was fantastic!
• The building and rooms are a bit old. It could use a refurbishment.

“For the price we paid this hotel was very good. The rooms were clean, it was easy to find, and the continental breakfast is the best ever. It is a pt friendly hotel so you have to watch out for pet owners that don't clean up after their pet. The stairs were not as confidently placed as they could be. Overall this was a good clean hotel and that was all that we were looking for.”

“The staff did nothing to correct problems that could easily have been taken care of, there was a bug infestation in my room and the staff acted as if asking for directions to their location was a major inconvenience to them.”

“Overall the hotel was priced ok for the area and was convenient. Bathrooms in this price range hotel seem to more often be in need of repair or updated look and tile or grout cleanliness.”
