• Excellent breakfast included.
• Hidden fees, tried to charge for parking although, the add said parking was free.

“Good hotel. Overall, very positive experience. Very comfortable bed, clean room and excellent hot breakfast included in room rate. Disliked the hidden "resort" fee and their attempt to charge for the advertised free parking.”

• The restaurant was unique.
• Very old, very small beds. very loud.

“My husband being a facility manager, saw many code violations, exposed wires. and several other things. The hotel was very old. The beds were to small. There was always sand on the floor in our room. The water in the shower was burning hot one moment then freezing cold the next. I will never return to this hotel again. I will and have told my friends to stay away from this hotel.”

• The room was disgusting, the water in the shower went from scalding to freezing, the staff was rude.

“This hotel was disgusting and the staff was rude and not helpful at all. They claim the rooms are newly renovated - not true. The room I had was terrible. The bathroom smelled. The water in the shower went from scalding to freezing and the water pressure was terrible. There was a cockroach on our ceiling our last day. When we complained they did absolutely nothing. I kept getting the run around when trying to get the name of a manager I could talk to.”

• Staff, rooms way past their time, spa should be closed down.

“Having to wait until 3 for a room, 4 for an updated room that was redone several years ago, having to pay 1.00 per item to place in storage while waiting for our room, water scalding hot, spa should be shut down, green water in hot tub. Would not go back.”

• A bit run down, paint peeling off, outdates look.

“Price is too much considering the hotel conditions. If you're laid back and can enjoy just being in the ocean front, that's ok. Room was delivered 1:30 later than check in time.”

• I liked that it had a mini kitchen with everything you could need if you'd decided to eat in the room, I also liked the service in the restaurant.
• It was too far from Miami beach, and the menu in the restaurant was very limited and overall expensive.

“It's good if you are short of money, it's only to sleep there; the bad side is that the shuttle is too limited, but considering that not all hotels offer that service, I think it was good overall.”

• The location in front of the beach, double parking lot, original 50's tables in the restaurant.
• The first time when I call to make sure for my non smoking room reservation the receptionist said that the hotel can't confirm that.

“Good location, very nice beach, average room, original restaurant decoration, news paper in your room every morning, the hotel needs a ramp for your luggage or have someone to help you with them to get in to the lobby, the elevator that brings you to the pool or beach make you walk trough the middle of the restaurant, I did not like that.”

• Right on the beach and a few minutes from south beach!
• Extra slow elevators, poor water temp, hard beds.

“30 yards from the beach is a plus. Hotel restaurant was semi-reasonable prices, but not great quality food. Just ok. I have never seen any slower elevators in my life! Hot water fluctuated; room air conditioner leaked all over the floor, the balcony room is not worth the extra cost! Charged $8/day for parking and $6/day for some type of convenience fee. All in all, a little less than what I expected, but the staff was very prompt in attending to my needs and were friendly enough just maybe over worked (not enough of them).”

• It was old and falling apart.

“This hotel is very old. The rooms were clean if you could get past the peeling paint, missing base boards, dingy hotel towels and ripped curtains. The front desk staff were not helpful, the bartender short of staff. Would never visit again. For the amount of money paid for room it was a complete rip off.”

“The architecture was nice, the room was noisy, the entire floor was noisy with drunk people, the elevators were slow or broken, the driveway was hidden so no one could find it. It was not a pleasant experience.”
