• I loved the pool area and convenient location.
• I was charged for wet bar in error that caused my bank account to go in turmoil including several overdraft charges.

“I loved the hotel and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area is to die for. However, I declined the key for the wet bar and was billed for using it leading to severe banking problems.”

• I liked that they came immediately to check the room for the bed bugs.
• There was no attempt to compensate me in any way for the exposure to the bed bug infestation that I did not discover until just before check out.

“Check for bed bugs in the room before even taking yourself and belongings into the room. It does look nice from the outside but again the maid service knocks first then immediately tries to walk in the room before summoning in. I have usually stayed in 3 star hotels and they have been just as nice as this 4 star. Further, I would think the service would distinguish this 4 star hotel over other 3 star lodgings, but definitely not in this case. Considering that I also work in retail, the customer comes first and if the experience is not positive they will not return, and they will tell others, and your business will be affected. I get the feeling that the Renaissance arrogantly does not understand this truism. I will not return there and I will be telling everyone I can about my experience.”

• Mildew/moldy smell in room.

“Very nice pool and bar, good restaurants w/in walking distance nearby. Odd to charge valet when parking lot is outside and easy to access. Staff not up on current restaurants. Room quite, nicely done but smelled like mold or stale.”

• Nice service, good location, contemporary/modern rooms.
• Jacuzzi did not work first day, however remedied the next day. As a note, concierge level service was closed on weekend.

“Overall, very nice hotel and value for the money. Good proximity to highways, shopping areas, and infamous Mizner street. Beautiful pool with cabanas made our stay very enjoyable.”

• The staff was incredible and the restaurant was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in.
• The drive to the beach was a little out of the way.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a great stay! The poolside bar was especially great and we were delighted to have a ground-level room that had a patio which backed up to the pool area-very convenient!”

• Not an outgoing staff, nothing to make you feel special or valued.

“Standard hotel nothing more than a Hojo or Holiday Inn. Staff did not go out off their way to help or offer help. Nothing was done to make you feel like a valued guest. Simply put; nothing special.”

• The pool area tiki bar needs a face lift along with the TV's inside!

• Friendly staff, classy atmosphere, 24 hour outdoor pool.
• Workout room was inadequate; hotel provided free access to bally fitness.

“Recently remodeled upscale hotel in great location close to restaurants and shopping. Extremely comfortable beds with good pillow selection and fluffy duvet. Granite bath with large fluffy towels. Beautiful tropical outdoor pool area open 24 hours with poolside bar open till midnight. Complimentary business center and morning coffee. Fitness room is below expectations but hotel provides free access to bally fitness close to hotel.”

“I have stayed many times at this hotel, and the last stay was tops. They upgraded me to a luxury suite! Elegant room and bathroom! It was a real treat for me, especially since I am 8 months pregnant.”

“The staff was great and the hotel was good but Boca Raton is not a great place to stay if you are vacationing. You are better of going down to ft. Lauderdale. But if you find yourself in Boca Raton than this hotel is a good place to stay.”

“Room was okay, pubic hairs from previous occupants in drawers. The closet door came off hinges/slide bar. Not what you expect from this hotel chain. Very disappointed. Staff was excellent, but did not make up for shortcomings! Would stay at different hotel next time.”
