  • Great room, great view, great staff, great beach, great location, washer/dryer with room.
  • Outdated furniture, small pool, only one pool, too much to rent beach chairs.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a 2 BR suite with a full kitchen for half the price of the Westin Diplomat down the street where my husband's conference was. The staff was great, our view was terrific, and we were able to save money by eating in our kitchen. It was great being able to do laundry before coming home, since we had two small kids with us. Our view was comparable to those we have had in the Caribbean. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to others and hope to go back someday. It was a great hotel for the price!”

  • Location is good.
  • Room not clean. Sticky floor, cockroach in Kitchen.

“We were given the excuse that our room was not clean when we arrived on 04-28-08 because the resort was extremely busy the week before. We had a toilet flood the room and were not moved immediately by front desk. Not a great experience.”

  • Leaving it is what I enjoyed.
  • It is old; the pool is way too small for size of hotel.

“I would never stay here again, not until rooms were updated, and pool made much bigger. Better restaurant needs to be put in, Also room service was horrible.”

  • Great location on the water, friendly staff.
  • Building next door under construction, that woke us up earlier than we wanted to be up.

  • Hotel management is not professional & is very arrogant to guests.

“About the only good thing about this hotel is its location. The staff and management were terrible. First, they completely screwed up my reservations. Then, they said they were not going to honor my reservations at all because of their error! Then they said they were going to move me to another hotel!! After all of this, they then wanted me to pre-pay for my stay before I even got there!! I would seriously think twice about ever booking a stay here. The hotel looks and sounds great because of it's ocean front location, but that's where it ends. I've never encountered a hotel that cares so little for its' guests and treats them horribly.”

“I'd be very cautious about planning any stays with this hotel. While this hotel looks and sounds great, I'm having a TERRIBLE experience with the Doubletree Ocean Point Resort & Spa. I booked 2 room reservations to stay at this hotel on their company website a year in advance of my planned stay. The rooms were confirmed and guaranteed. Then 7 months after I booked my rooms, the hotel GM sent me a letter demanding "a full, non-refundable prepayment for my rooms" or else she is going to cancel my reservations! This was not part of the original terms of my reservations. Of course I'm not going to pre-pay for these rooms and not get any money back if I have to cancel! Everyone knows that a hotel cannot change the rate or terms of your confirmation after the rooms have been booked and guaranteed--it's a contract! While prepayment as a requirement is not that uncommon, it needs to be spelled out ahead of booking, not 7 months after! This is very unethical and a very shady business practice. This "prepayment" demand letter was after receiving another letter from the GM that initially said that "due to unforeseen circumstances," she was not going to honor my reservations at her hotel all! It turns out there were no "unforeseen circumstances." I'd be very leery about staying at this hotel and I'd think twice about booking any type of business or personal stay here. I've tried several times to get answers from the hotel and get this resolved, but to no avail. Because my stay is planned over Super Bowl weekend, I'm virtually screwed at finding any new accommodations at all anywhere in the area. I dont know what they are trying to pull, but they're forcing me to become embroiled in a big battle over this. The hotel management here is very sketchy and not very professional. ”

  • The employees were very friendly and the bartender was a excellent/has great customer service.
  • I was expecting a room with and not a side view with a new hotel being built. Was not able to relax in the am with all the construction going on!

“The customer service was great! I had a problem with the air condition in our room. I called and within minutes the maintenance person with at the door. All that was needed was to turn on the switch. Also we had told him a light bulb was out and he came back ASAP with a light bulb. I love the beds are so comfortable!”
