“The complaints did have some merit - the hotel was old, the hallways smelled bad, but the room was generally clean, but old. Music from the neighboring restaurant was loud and filled the room until about 11 pm at night and started up again in the morning, making it difficult to sleep. I also found a bug on my blanket, which was not a pleasant surprise. ”

“The hotel is very well located in south beach. Walking distance from shops, restaurants and beach. Nightlife a block away. But you give up a lot for this. Hotel needs revamping. Paint on walls, new bathrooms, beds, carpeting. I guess you get what you pay for the location and the price something has got to give and that is the comfort of coming back to a restful room with no noise at the very least.”

“This hotel was in a good location - close to the beach. Most of the staff was friendly - some were incredibly apathetic. The hotel itself felt dirty though the room was mostly cleans - just dilapidated, sticky carpet - drapes with holes. The worst part was how loud the room was - it was impossible to get sleep - it was on a major street and the music from the hotel's restaurant played late into the night - causing the whole room to thump and making it close to impossible to sleep. I was exhausted this entire trip. The hotel says it has internet but the staff seemed very unconcerned that it was down. I ended up leaving three nights before my stay was up - sacrificing hundreds of dollars in room cost - just so I could get some sleep. Might be good for a 17 year old spring break traveler - bad for anyone else. ”

“I would not recommend this hotel. Next time, I will pay more or get a level 2 hotel. It was noisy. Rooms faced a major south beach street. Nothing but noise from cars and drunken ass people.”

“Very nice staff. Great low price. Excellent place to stay if you are there for fun or business. All the staff at the restaurant was great. Daniel and Christian were great and so were the female bartenders.”

“I was hoping to get the Holiday Inn again. Saw it was being demolished. My sister got the 4 points and it was very nice. Pool and ocean. This was ok but not what we wanted. Will hope for 4 points next time.”

“The location is excellent and the price was very good however, you get what you pay for. We stayed two nights and had to have three rooms during that time because of problems with the rooms. I'm usually very easy to please but this hotel had me very upset. I cannot accept filth when it comes to me staying at a hotel. If I had to do it all again, I would never have stayed at this hotel. The Hispanic desk clerk was excellent and friendly ( I did not get his name). The Indian desk clerk was rude and had an attitude. I don't know how he keeps his job.”

“The lobby is an Art Deco era and was excellent. THERE IS NO PARKING. The staff told me that there is a parking garage. The hotel rate was $20 and had in/out privilege When to my room, a corner bay, the room was very small, 12 x 8. The windows were intact, but no dampening from the street. The mold was terrible. It has two springee mattress and had an a/c with 2 controls, off or loud windy city. The mold crept to the bathroom. Also, it was very small, but had a art deco feel.”

“While the staff primarily is Spanish speaking, they are very friendly. The hotel is very, very run down. The window seemed stuck open on the first floor. No dead bolt locks/chain locks. Chipping paint, etc. Clean sheets/towels. Excellent location.”

“Fetid odor, badly creaking beds, lots of trash below the bed, small TV set and broken remote control, small and old bathroom, cracked window in bathroom, no service for parking, old and dusty carpet. I lost my face for my wife and children due to this hotel. Who compensate for my heart hurt ?”

“For the price, the hotel was a disappointment. I was glad I only stayed there one night. Furniture was old and outdated. The facility was not clean enough. No parking close by. The hotel staff was not very knowledgeable.”

“This hotel is in the heart of South Beach, Florida. It is difficult to drive there because of heavy traffic. There is no convenient parking. We parked 4 blocks away (scary walk at night) and paid $10.00 per night for it. There was a great deal of noise and music outside of the hotel (we were there during spring break). The noise lasted until about 2:00 am. The place did not feel very clean, and it smelled bad. Probably an ok place for young people out to party who don't care about the hotel. We have small children and wanted a quiet place to sleep. This was not the hotel for us!”
