• The room was clean and needed nothing.
• The only thing I didn't like was housekeeping was pounding on the door at 9:30 in the morning trying to see if we were leaving.

• The front lobby was clean.
• The hall way smell stuffy, the side door I couldn't use my key to open, had to walk all the way around to the front.

“I didn't like the stuff smell in the hallway. I think something can be done about that, but other than that it was ok but I don't think I will stay there again.”

• Nice, Clean.
• Not in the best part of town.

“Very nice for overnights. The room was really nice. The pool is a little small and if it were a family vacation for a long period of time it might not have enough for children. It is perfect for short stays and business travelers.”

• Not a lot of choices regarding restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

“The hotel was located in a location convenient to the freeway and easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. Common areas were clean and well kept. Overall it was a pleasant experience.”

• Charging a card they were not supposed to.

“This hotel is definitely not worth the money paid or the star level listed. The staff is mostly non caring, they are there for only a paycheck. They obviously do not have the training needed for their positions. It was not as kept up as it should be. The fridge needed repair and never even got looked at while there. Messages do not get passed to proper people. It was a bad experience and still after checkout they are mis-charging my credit card!”

• The room was large, clean and modern.
• Lots of traffic in the hallways at night. Beer cans in the elevator.

“The lobby and public areas were so-so. Beer cans in the elevator, the stairwell was filthy, and the quality of late night guests was a bit alarming. (There was a coupon in the local paper for a #49 room that might explain the traffic). The room was wonderful. We had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. It had just been remodeled recently so it was modern. The staff checked me in quickly and provided me with local menus when I asked.”

• The desk staff were helpful, pleasant & friendly.
• The maid staff were loud, obnoxious, & bossy.

“The front desk staff were extremely helpful, pleasant, & outgoing. The maid staff & security however, were obtrusive. We were woke up at 2 in the morning by the security guard (looking for smokers). When we asked for coffee for our room we were told we'd have to wait & it would be delivered to our room. It never arrived until 5 minutes before we had to check out. When the breakfast area ran out of milk & I brought the pitcher up to the head maid, I was scolded & told to put it back, they would refill it soon.”

• the continental breakfast provided was terrible

“The hotel was a 1 star hotel, no refrigerator, air conditioning was effective, but smelled funny when it was shut off. Basically, it was clean and it felt like a safe place to be with good access to I-95, the turnpike and other roads. The breakfast was terrible, everything frozen and the toaster barely worked, the coffee was like water, no butter, only margarine provided.”

• Nothing. The door didn't even lock properly.
• Door didn't lock properly. Bathroom filthy and tub clogged.

“Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Dirty, in disrepair, bathroom filthy, tub clogged. If I bid Ft. Lauderdale again, I will scream if I get this hotel.”

“It's a small facility that provides the basics. It does not have a restaurant, so I had to go elsewhere for meals -- more than a slight inconvenience, given the limited dining choices in the immediate area.”

• The continental breakfast was nice and it was very quiet there. Also, we felt secure and that was important. The location made places easy to find.
• The vending machines were always broken and the furniture in our room was broken too. Ashtrays in a non-smoking room????

“Baymont was fine. We loved the warm weather and the location was good for us. Everything seemed very business like and people were friendly.”

• Fleas

“The room that I got was a smoking room, even though I do not smoke thats OK.
During the fist night I thought I saw a Flea, but I wasn't sure, during the night I felt animals crawling all over my body.

The next morning I placed a white towel on the floor and within seconds Fleas started to cling to the towel, after further observation I Noticed that the room was infested with Fleas, and my body was full of Flea bites.
When I told the front office they told me that I had to wait until after 12:00 in order to change my room.
So I had to hang around wasting my whole day until they changed my room.
Once I got home I could not put my suitcase in my house becuase I am sure that the fleas got in my suitcase.
I am going to report this to the Florida Health department... It was a very unpleasant experience.”
