• The staff was very friendly and generous.
• The rooms furniture needs to be renovated.

“The hotel is beautiful, the staff sent champagne to our room complementary, as it was our anniversary. The rooms were very clean yet the furniture in the room is out dated and needs remodeling.”

• The attitude of the staff was great.
• There was no coffee pots in the rooms. No complimentary breakfast. The room was not very clean.

“Overall this hotel is attractive. The staff was courteous and prompt. However, other than the experience of seeing some flaws in the room, it was ok. I would probably go back.”

• Great location.
• Our bathroom was dirty and bed lumpy and uncomfortable.

“We were extremely disappointed to see how it has gone downhill. Our bathroom sink had hair and whiskers everywhere and both the sink and shower were equipped with very low-flow fixtures. The beds were very uncomfortable and the air conditioning did not cool the room sufficiently.”

• The air quality in the hotel room (mold)!

• Easy check-in, convenient parking in garage under hotel, clean rooms and facilities, and late check-out.
• Price of parking.

“Spacious, comfortable, and clean rooms. Asked for a high floor, and they gave us the 12th (out of 14) floor, incredible view. Room service food was delicious and on time. Pool on 5th floor was very nice with great view of the sky at night and heated.”

“The hotel was clean and nice, very comfortable and felt 'plush'. we enjoyed our stay and wished it was not pouring rain so we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool.”

• Very attractive hotel.
• Very poor service must be understaffed.

“The hotel and pool are very attractive. However, the staff was horrible. We called down for extra towels and it took over an hour to get them, not to mention a second call down. I was having a conversation with a fellow guest and she said the same thing. She called down for a glass to take her medication and it took them almost two hours. Unacceptable! Also, on their website they advertise a shuttle to pick you up from Miami airport and my girlfriend, who was traveling by herself, waited for over 30 minutes for the shuttle and it never showed. Come to find out that there is no shuttle. I mean come on---Days Inn and even Comfort Inn had shuttles running. Unacceptable! Also, the band Images was supposed to playing at the hotel-again false advertisement on the website. Oh well. I'm very disappointed with Hyatt.”

“Hotel is located in "downtown" Coral Gables, close to everything. The room was above average. The staff was incredibly courteous a helpful in all aspects.”

• Lovely lobby and attentive staff.
• Air conditioning did not work right and bathroom needs updating.

“Hotel was fine, and that was it. A lot of things inadequate. Air conditioning in room not working properly, toilet ran, shower fixtures outdated, ice machine in hall not working, no coffee maker in room. The personal comfort items of a four star hotel missing, except for a very attentive staff and a nice lobby.”

• The staff treated us like royalty. Hotel was beautiful.
• Valet parking cost of $19.00 per day.

“This hotel was fabulous. It was a beautiful location. Lovely area to walk in. Shopping and cafes nearby. Beautiful pool with a very reasonable snack bar.”

• Older, in need of some repairs, did not have amenities I would consider for star level.

• Exterior and public areas are beautiful.
• the room left a lot to be desire- no storage and the bathroom needs renovation.

“On the outside this hotel is beautiful, but in the room they really fall short. There were only three small drawers for storage, and 2 closets with only about 6 hangers. It was definitely not enough for a family of 3 for 4 days. I do not expect to live out of my suitcase at a 4 star hotel. The bathroom also was well below expectations, definitely in need of renovation. The parking is another issue in itself, they charge $19 a day for valet parking which is fine, but they charge $16 a day for self parking in their garage. There is only hourly meter parking spots in this area, so you really have no choice but to pay them. On this trip we also stayed a night at the Marriot Courtyard in Ft. Lauderdale - a 2.5 star hotel - I would rate the Marriot a 10 star compared to this hotel.”

• Very clean.
• Completely unorganized. Awfully unorganized.

“Comfortable, clean, but it was my husband and mine's honeymoon night, and he had called ahead and faxed in an order form for chocolate covered strawberries and campaigned that night, which they lost and couldn't seem to make it happen (they did finally but the discussion had to happen in front of me and it was supposed to be a surprise from my husband to me). It was just really disappointing.”
