“I've been in this hotel many times before and am usually satisfied. This time it all went south. On three different occasions the parking system fouled up and couldn't get in or out of the parking deck. They also charge $11 per night to park there. Nobody would respond to the call button when I would get stuck trying to exit the deck. The room AC was VERY noisy. TV didn't work properly as half the channels had no sound. They do not offer free internet. The room looked freshly remodeled but the shower still had the 20 year old tile with mold stains in the grout. Lamp had no bulb in it. Toilet would re-fill every 20 minutes from slow leak also. Just a crappy room and experience.”

“The hotel is OK, not good not bad, nice appointed rooms but there was sand in our bed, we asked them to change linens 3 times, on 3 different days, no luck! the bathroom is dirty, but the worst is the location, you need to do a lot of turns because there is no off ramp on 836 expressway to this street, it really is a hassle to get there and on top of that when you use the self parking and it rains you are out of luck, will get wet! So if its cloudy better pay for the valet parking!”

“The hotel staff was friendly, but I do not think my room was clean when I checked in. There were things on the carpet that should have been easily vacuumed up. There were also almonds on the floor in the corner. The bathroom had not been refreshed. There was no shampoo, conditioner, etc. Only a bottle of lotion was left in the room.”

“The Hotel is beautiful. The look is very much Miami art Deco without being overwhelming. I really liked that they had the schedules for various flights and airlines in the room as a TV channel. Quite convenient for the business traveler.”

“We arrived at half past midnight. It took an hour to get settled in our room, because, the parking was at one end of the hotel and the rooms were at the other end of the hotel, no one was at the check-in desk, and by the time someone came to help us, there were 3 parties to be helped by 1 person, and we first were checked into a room on the 4th floor, but, it reeked of smoke. We were moved to the 9th floor and had no odor problems. No other problems for the rest of our two-night stay. Almost all rooms are a 200-foot walk from the parking garage (the only place to park. Self-parking costs $11 per day, and valet parking is $13. Internet access is an extra $10/day. Oh, yes, we were also surprised that restaurant deliveries cannot be brought to the room -- you have to go to the lobby to pick them up.”

“This is perfect hotel for business travelers or if you are need to stay in Miami for a cruise or to travel out. Is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. We had a family activity and the location was perfect. The view from the room was awesome. Would definitely go back.”

“Great hotel at a great price. Enjoyed having free internet instead of being charged like everywhere else. Room was very modern and comfortable. The only major complaint was that the cable service was awful as channels such as CBS, Fox, etc. came up as static and there were no premium channels.”

“When we got to the hotel, I requested a king bed instead of 2 queens. I told the staff that it was our 25th anniversary. The concierge brought us a bottle of complementary Cabernet Sauvignon. He helped make recommendations on where to dine, based on our taste buds. Even the valet team went out of their way to accommodate us with our cab needs in very quick and professional order.”

“Hotel is very attractive and with shuttle service to and from the airport it is very convenient. Unfortunately, there was construction of a parking garage across the street that started work before dawn and the noise came through the walls like it was in the next room! The hotel is obviously geared for the business traveler and not families with children. The hotel should have some lower priced options for breakfast in the morning for children, since even the continental breakfast was over $11.00. Since the hotel is isolated from everything else, your options are very limited in terms of eating anywhere beside the Rickenbacker restaurant in the hotel. But, all in all, we were very pleased with the hotel.”

“This hotel appeared to be nice at one point in time, but it is a far cry from its glory days. The bar was very old and dingy and all of the visible parts were dirty. I was scared to drink a beer from their tap so I asked for bottled. The service at the restaurant was very slow, but courteous. The room was clean and decent, although the bed was worn and all of the trim parts of the shower were broken.”

“Nice decor, facilities, bedding, plasma TVs in room, and pool. Customer service was
ok but not what I thought a 3.5 star hotel would be like. All staff I encountered were foreign, and not that helpful or friendly or enthusiastic. In the restaurant as well. Nothing terrible, just not that great.”
