“This hotel is horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. The shape of the place is below any standard. They charge $22/day for parking and $10/day for internet access. No ramp for children stroller. Location is not near any attraction.”

“The lighting did not reach into the small tub/shower area making it very difficult to adequately clean oneself. The hotel restaurants /room service closed down the second day we were there so they could clean for Passover. No prior notice was given, so we could make other arraignments. Instead we had to eat outside during a cold snap at 8 pm with the flies, when we had planned on room service in our PJ's, very disappointing. To top it off the desk clerk tried correcting me when I called Passover peach-it's Hebrew name. The whole purpose of my vacation was a few days away before the holiday rush with thirty for dinner two nights in a row.”

“This hotel has passed its prime and elegance and is in need of major renovations. Its superior location was a great advantage within footsteps of the beach but the condition of the hotel was a distraction.”

“The hotel was a good choice to stay at for the short time I was in Miami. It is looking a bit tired though and needs uplift.”

“Be aware of the fees you will have to pay: resort fee: 10 per room per day, plus tax; valet parking fee: 22 per day plus tip and tax; internet fee: 9.95 per day, plus tax. They are extra charges.”

“Great hotel overall. I just wish that the hotel would not charge for simple conveniences, like parking and wireless Internet, among others.”

“Not what I would describe as a 3-star hotel. Decor is outdated, interior hallways were freezing cold, our view was the building next door and the outlets in the room would not accept appliances such as a blow dryer or curling iron. One outlet was dismantled and dangling on the floor with numerous items plugged into it. The location is not exactly South Beach either. It is about 36 blocks to the Art Deco district. However, our check in was simple and the lobby and pool were very nice.”

“I without a doubt would NOT recommend this hotel, unless you like spending high prices for nothing in return, dirty, food is absolutely terrible, and on top of that they charge you $22.00 a night to park your car.”

“We had a pretty good experience. Only about a $9 cab ride to the heart of South Beach and the hotel is right on the beach. The staff was friendly. The rooms were nice, basically clean, but the bathroom was extremely small and dated. The shower had very little pressure, but we stayed for 1 night and it suited our purpose well. I would stay there again in a pinch and compared to some boutique hotels in South Beach that promise certain things, this was a decent place at a decent rate in January.”

“It has very rude staff members. Room service takes over an hour and the food is cold and wrong. The food served is not well prepared and tastes horrible. Fun for people with kids who don't mind eating fried fish and/or chicken with French fries everyday.”

“Hard for wheel chair access from drive up and in the hotel in general. Need to find a person with a key to the mini elevators. Pretty cumbersome. Perfect for a one night stay. Good price performer. Don't think I would book it for a week.”

“The beds were comfortable; the soap/ hair care products were lovely. Valet lost our rental car. Each morning took 30 minutes to retrieve car. Staff is not friendly. Bar tender not knowledgeable. I rate it a 2 star hotel. Enjoyed our trip, but are itching from the bed bugs. Hotel is not located near any amenities/ restaurants. Fees charged for parking, resort fee & newspaper were $35 per day.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa. The hotel was older, but very attractive nonetheless, with large rooms and beautiful public areas. The staff was very helpful, and the food, though expensive, was excellent.”

“Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. This was close to south beach and the hotel was on Miami beach. The pool was heated pool. Good spa. Really enjoyed this hotel.”

“Hotel is acceptable, but more of a 3.5 star rather than a 4 star. Cable for the TV was taped together, so cable reception was intermittent. I was very disturbed to find a $10 per day "resort fee" included on the bill. Also, the $22 per day valet parking seems excessive. No nearby public parking.”

“The room was shabby looking. The window draperies were nasty with stains all over them. There are wonderful architectural features but everything in the room is in need of an update. When I went to take a bath at 8:30 pm, because I had an early flight the following morning, there was no hot water. Also, about 1 am, someone banged on our door and repeatedly tried to open our door using a room key. We yelled thru the door several times before we could get him to leave. Made me feel that the hotel was maybe a bit unsafe for women travelers.”

“Valet service was 22 dollars a day. The room was kind of dirty and the shower water temperature would change from hot to cold randomly. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. I would have rather stayed at a 2 star hotel. The 3 star rating is too high!”

“Good location with good access to beach. The parking was ridiculously expensive for Miami ($22 a day plus tax). Even though the food quality was decent it didn't live up to it's cost. The servers where nice and helpful, however I didn't agree with the 17% tip they automatically charge even if you only have a coke at the bar. Upon departure I complained to the front desk person about the added costs from the minibar, and he was extremely unhelpful and rude about it.”
