• My non-smoking" room had obviously been smoked in"

“Nice lobby, spacious guest room, and friendly staff. Ample parking. The bed was too soft. I would stay there again.”

• the employees at the Marriott country yard was very courteous and very helpful.

• I arrived early in the morning; I was in my room within 20 minutes.

“Courteous , helpful, efficient personnel. Room in excellent shape. High speed wireless access in the lobby, and the room had a Cat 5 cable for high speed access.”

• mini-bar in lobby with reasonable price snacks and drinks
• This courtyard charges for their breakfast - others don't

“This hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport. You get a great first impression with their landscaping and pretty lobby. We recieved a warm welcome and our reservation was waiting for us. It was not the knig room that I had spoken to them about, but it was comfortable. we asked about place to eat and were given a list of restauranst that deliver and those that were in walking distance. They had sample menus on hand. The food was good and we ate in the lobby at one of the convienent breakfast table, enjoying the splits of wine we had purchased at the lobby mini-bar. The breakfast was good. They even would special order eggs for you. You must make reservations for a trip back to the airport beacuse their vans get filled up. I would stay here again.”

• nice courtyard and pool area, very secure parking area
• a long way from the car rental return area, next time we would like to be closer

• It was convenient to reach the port for the cruise because they provide a shuttle service
• I asked for a non-smoking room and was given one that reeked of smoke

“It was a great experience, although I had to wait for over 1 hour to get the shuttle to the hotel from the airport. I had to call the airport 3 times.”

• Friendly staff and good, basic amenities. Great whirlpool.
• Housekeeping kept turning on the A/C and our room was FREEZING every night.

“Great on/off location to just about everything. Plenty of local restaurants and convenience stores to quell those late-night munchies. After an initial stay at a Hyatt earlier in the week (at a MUCH higher price), we were so pleased by the value received at the Courtyard in comparison -- only a slightly downgraded room, nicer pool/whirlpool. Only one issue -- we would have liked a refridgerator of some kind. Not necessarily a mini-bar, but just a small icebox somewhere to store drinks, etc.”

• 24 hour coffee available in lobby-very nice lobby area.
• Needs 24 hour room service.

“The location was difficult for the taxi drivers to navigate, but other than that, the hotel was very good. 24 hour room service would be beneficial. People who arrive late in the evening or early in the morning hours have no access to food anywhere.”

• Very nice courtyard with pool and hot tub. Courtesy shuttle took us to the Dolphin Mall and picked us up
• The wallpaper was starting to come off the walls in our room in several places

“We stayed here 1 night pre-cruise and 2 nights post-cruise. check-in was listed as 3pm, but we were given our room at 8AM! and then again at 10AM on our return stay. The staff were very friendly and their shuttle even took us to the Dolphin Mall and came and picked us up when we were ready.”

• Good price with nearby restaurants
• Not as convenient to the port as other hotels

“After arriving from the port of Miami to the hotel, we realized that we were at the wrong location (South vs. West). It would be nice if Miami cab/shuttle drivers could understand English! After a full hour of waiting for a cab to transport us to the correct location, we finally arrived at the Courtyard West location (at least the hotel paid for the cab fare). Although our room had a slightly musty smell, the hotel was adequate. The multiple restaurants within walking distance was a definite plus. I'd probably give the Courtyard Airport West a 2-star rating rather than the 2-1/2 star.”

• Clean, spacious rooms with a great view of the pool.
• The front desk staff was just ok in friendliness.

“We would stay there again. The shuttle service to the airport was great. The hotel was very clean and quiet.”

• They let us check in at 2:00am.
• The hotel was noisy and uncomfortable.

“This hotel has tissue like walls which make for a noisy stay. Beds were uncomfortable and small, shower was hard to get consistently warm water. I would not to stay here again.”
