• Location.
• Poor hospitality.

“Amerisuites is going through total renovation we should have been told, construction at the lobby, some rooms, we had dust 24 hours, even the breakfast area had to close the door. The beds are quit uncomfortable. The employees were not trained as to provide info to travelers, temporary personnel it seemed. I hope the renovation is accompanied by a friendlier staff.”

“The pool was closed both days I was there. I was on the 5th floor (the highest) and they were putting on a roof. I think they should have advised me of the situation.”

• Traveling with children; it is comfortable and the pool is nice.
• The entrance is sometimes bad because it is shared with McDonald.

• Closeness the hospital.
• Right between McDonalds and red lobster.

“Despite of its challenged location it is a good deal for anybody that needs to go to Baptist Hospital in Miami.”

“Hotel needs updating. I was surprised that this hotel is part of the Hyatt chain. I expected more because of the name. I paid more than I should have for this room, but it was not horrible, only disappointing. I am funny about bedding and picky about cleanliness though, so most people would probably be fine with it”

• Needed to vacuum the rooms completely. Mirror on door the bathroom very dirty.

• The rooms and bathrooms are clean but old and could use updating.

“Good location once you find the entrance staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel could use some updating to the rooms and bathrooms. Overall satisfied with the hotel.”

• Convenient location, good breakfast.
• Beds were old and uncomfortable, room had mold on the carpet and in the shower.

“Hotel appears clean in the lobby and halls but room was superficially clean mold on the carpet under the sink was at least two inches thick black mold around the shower knob carpet was not edged very well breakfast was great and everything on the buffet was clean and fresh beds were old and sunk in the middle decor was ok needs a lift.”

• Mattress hard as rock, traffic in Kendal drives was worst.

• The hotel needs to be redone it was in very bad shape.
• Paint chipping off, hotel should not be in business until it has been renovated, pillows were old + completely flat there was no DVD remote was worn.

“Why rent a hotel room that is completely worn out? The paint was chipping off the walls the bathroom had a very strong cat litter smell. The pillows, sheets and bed spread were very worn out.”

• The good continental breakfast, the good and free wireless internet, and the friendly staff.
• I was placed in a smoking room and could not change; also there were rowdy neighbors across the hall.

“Amerisuites is a good place to stay for the price. The staff is friendly and there is free in room wireless internet, as well as a good continental breakfast. I was placed in a smoking room and told I could not switch because I had booked the room "through a third party vendor." the room was very smoky and the hallways decidedly so, to the extent that there was reduced visibility in the hallways. Another disappointment occurred when I dropped off a shirt for dry cleaning the first day of my stay, assured by the front desk person it would be ready the next day.”

• Safe area conveniently located off the Florida Turnpike.
• Showing signs of age. Bed not as comfortable as I'd have liked.

“The hotel has some nice upscale touches. Pool, nice lobby and clean hallways. Room showed age: caulking of the tub, the coffee table had a small section of laminate off it, and mattress needed to be replaced, in my opinion. I've certainly slept on much worse, however. Just adequate, too firm for me. The free morning breakfast had many choices, including scrambled eggs and sausage. Really one of the best free breakfasts I've seen offered.”

“The AmeriSuites was well located, and nicely decorated, but our suite was really in need of some repair: wallpaper peeling in bathroom, lampshades broken, some light-bulbs burned out. The carpets throughout the hotel were also very dirty. They offered a nice full-breakfast. My trip was medical in nature, but when I brought my daughter to the hotel after a major surgery, the hotel had no wheelchairs and no idea where I could get one. All in all, definitely an economy hotel, at a higher than moderate price.”
