• I liked the location.
• Needed deep cleaning/maintenance.

“Mainstay is a decent place to stay where you can cook in the room and rooms get straightened up well daily. Pool was not very big or clean and the ashtrays near the pool stunk.”

• Price.
• Room was only 1 star, we had to switched to room.

“Breakfast ends at 9 am, too early room 224 was inferior, it is not 2 star room, hotel did not have Martin County visitors guides.”

• Beautiful grounds and facility.
• Desk person was
  very friendly, but not very efficient.

“Hotel was beautiful, but was disappointed in a couple of small things. There was no ice bucket to be found in room. Nor were there any drinking glasses. We had adjoining rooms with another couple, got in very late, and wanted to have some drinks. Both rooms didn't have ice buckets or glasses. Called front desk as soon as we got in our room and told him. It took him about 20 minutes to get us and ice bucket, and he told us he couldn't find any glasses, give him a few more minutes. By the time we got our glasses, we were ready to call it a night and go to bed. We used the coffee cups. Also coffee maker in room had no reg. coffee, just decaf.”

• No customer service, understaffed.

“First room was so dirty we had to change rooms. Next room was better but definitely not clean enough, came back to room late at night and found cockroaches running up the walls. Complained to front desk but they never noted our problems with the room.”

• They call it suites, closer to early motel 6, cramped dorm room bath room, no pay for view TV, breakfast stunk.

“This is a dorm room for golf students at the PGA course very basic, Suites is a misnomer as this was not even a good as Motel 6, Lobby was clean but that's the high light. Small unheated pool made swimming out of the question. Continental breakfast was meager to the point I bought my breakfast elsewhere than eat there for free, Bowl of cold cereal and some fruit and muffins was the extent. Shower was 2x2 cubical and hardware on pocket door injured both me and my wife. Very disappointing. Ruined my wife's and my romantic get away.”

• Comfortable bed, attractive room.
• Far off the beaten path.

“Nice decent hotel for the money. Shower could have been cleaner, but beds were comfortable. Maids made up my daughters' bed with her stuffed animals. Continental breakfast was not great by any stretch - go out for breakfast. Free internet and paper in lobby. Pool was open but we did not use.”

• Shower was dirty and a walk in which was too small for an adult.

“The bathroom was very small with sink outside of room. Shower was a walk in stall and very tiny. Good for a child and needed cleaning. Pocket door for bathroom was difficult to close. Room needed a good overhaul - from floor to ceiling (they said they renovated 2 yrs ago and they need to do it again). Bed was very hard and pillows had no body to them. Also, not all rooms were suites. Wouldn't stay there again!”

• Couples of front desk clerks were great and continental breakfast was great.
• I asked for my showers to be cleaned 3 times; even spoke to the manager and ended up wiping the shower down and was completely grossed out by the scum.

“The hotel was fine but they need to be a little cleaner to keep the newly renovated hotel looking good.”

“I needed three rooms before I found one to my satisfaction. two rooms had TV's that did not work. One room had used towels on the furniture.”

• The staff was very expedient in solving some issues related to faulty equipment and very helpful to our needs!
• Rugs could have been cleaner!
