• Clean; convenient to restaurants and shopping.
• Nothing.

“I was looking for a hotel that was close to dining and shopping. This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and all these things added to my experience. I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking to get a little more out of a moderate level hotel. I truly enjoyed my stay.”

• Location and price.
• Unsupervised and rude children disturbing the peace.

“The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was garbage thrown around the grounds. Wild unsupervised children ran around causing havoc. No one seem to care that they were bothering other guests. There was only one computer available for guests. The hotel needs to be painted on the outside.”

• Locked out of unit - dead battery and smoke detector going off all night in our unit.

“I am very disappointed with our recent stay at the Best Western in Vero Beach. We were locked out of our room at 10:30 at night with two small children, after several key cards being tried by the employee she finally called maintenance to take the lock apart. We were in our room by 11:00 pm. After getting settled in, the smoke detector began beeping at 1:00 am. It beeped a couple of times and then stopped. Again started beeping at 1:10 am. I then got out of bed and took the detector off the wall and placed it outside the door. After laying down again the beeping was still being heard from inside. I then got dressed and went down to the lobby with the detector only to find the doors were locked. I then walked back upstairs and tried calling several times and did not receive an answer. Finally after about ten minutes of calling a lady answered the phone. I asked her to come and get the smoke detector that was outside our door so we could get some sleep. Needless to say after a long night with not much sleep we got dressed and ready to go to the hotel restaurant for breakfast only to find out there was no gas and no breakfast to be served. Not a pleasant stay.”

• Bar was closed for renovation.

• The pool area was great. The beds were comfortable.
• The staff was a bit rude. We made some requests multiple times before they were done by the staff.

“Great place to stay for short trips. The pool was really nice, very clean and beautiful. The hotel area was quiet and seemed very safe. There is no continental breakfast, but there is an IHOP right across the street. Overall, a good stay for a weekend trip.”

• Neatness of the interior room and public areas. Nice pool. Good restaurant.
• Late night Noise from 2nd floor rooms / hall areas above.

“Overall a pleasant place to stay in the Vero Beach area. Convenient to highways and Dodger town but a distance to beaches.”

• Newly remodeled bathroom.
• No room service.

“I didn't hang out at the hotel much. Spent my time at Dodger town. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was in a higher price range than the hotel right across the street and it seemed pretty empty; probably because of the higher price.”

“The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The only bad experience was trying to watch the Supper Bowl on the room TV, had poor reception.”

• Room was clean and recently renovated.
• Repair work in progress was disturbing.

“The hotel was undergoing some renovation work, including roof replacement. There was no reference to this when I booked. From my room I could here machinery both in the afternoon that I checked and the following morning. Portions of outside corridors were roped off and access to the pool area was impeded. Overall, I think my stay would have been fine at any other time, but renovations of this extent should not be made while the hotel is in operation.”
