“First off confirm your reservation before you leave home. Glad, I did as the Sleep Inn got my arrival date wrong leaving me without rooms. Thankfully the Ramada Limited had 70 open rooms 3 days before graduation. I had a place to stay. But that should been a red flag. Always thought Ramada meant quality. It had run down room, blood stain on pillow case; mattresses were too soft in our room, a blanket with what felt like rubber backing. I couldn't touch it, my daughter slept on top of the covers and flat pillows. There were holes in bedspread and musty odor. My room with a fridge had no fridge. We were on the back side of the motel; getting luggage to rooms from the non-user friendly parking lot was hard. We paid cash to the new night shift clerk for our rooms upon arrival. When I checked out the male day clerk said we had not paid and was going to charge my credit card. Could motels and this trip get any worse? Hours after we checked out the clerk called me to confirm the bank deposit for the night before was exactly what my husband paid in cash over. I already knew it would be. He apologized. Friends of ours stayed one night at the Ramada and had to check out because of the musty smell/mold. Whats good about Ramada Limited? We had a warm shower; friends did not. They couldn't get water turned on. Oh well, in a pinch it will do. Good luck finding a nice room. We figure so many people come thru Beaufort for MC graduation; it's very used.”

“This hotel needs some serious updating. Everything is old and has taken a real beating! The carpet in the rooms stink and outside walkways and the parking needs heavy pressure washing. The air did not work well enough to cool the room and the bathroom tile was stained. The toilet would not stop running which was annoying when we tried to sleep. I also was not pleased with having to use the little window to talk with the front desk after hours. Customers were easily (or purposely) overlooked. Every elevator ride was scary and reeked of wet mildewed carpet. From a distance it looks very nice but up close and inside it was horrible. We are not a "hard to please" group but when our crawling children are involved, conditions need to be a lot better than what they were.”

“The staff was pleasant enough and the room was mostly fine, though the bathtub faucet had a slow leak. The place had a general "run-down" look that I didn't expect with the Ramada name but wasn't actually dirty. Don't expect much of the breakfast provided.”

“Older hotel, in need of work, outside trash bins were overflowing, breakfast was pretty good. Hard to find because sign is overgrown with trees and shrubs. No shears on curtains so had to keep drapes closed so room was very dark. No pay phone in lobby.”

“Hotel is an old Holiday Inn sunk down to Ramada level through neglect. Rooms are dark with drapery closed, and no privacy with drapery open. Light fixtures are very old. Beds are in a very poor state with exposed springs poking through the ticking. Plumbing in poor condition.”

“Ramada Unlimited at Beaufort is in a convenient location to the beach. It has all the conveniences needed at a reasonable price. We liked the hot breakfast and thought the staff was very helpful.”

“The Ramada Limited was located in close proximity to the historic area of Beaufort. The hotel had not been upgraded in years, and so it suffered from high usage with low maintenance. It has tremendous potential and could be a showplace. The breakfast was mediocre compared to other similar chains. It needed some work. the pool area was very nice.”
