• The staff was extremely efficient, friendly and accommodating.
• Entering and exiting the parking lot was not user friendly from north had to circle around interstate to enter.

“The lobby is large, allowing family to visit. Staff made us feel at home, no problems with requests, etc.”

• Very clean, and pleasant.
• They gave us an outside room near noisy highway.

“This was a very clean and attractive room. I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel. It just seemed like a standard size two-bed room, with few extras. I thought we were going to get a free breakfast, but when I asked, the clerk said no.”

• Liked overall condition of hotel - very nicely kept
• Pool too small

“Really liked the comfort and general quality for the price! We got a steal. Also, the computer area was a nice amenity at no charge. I used it a couple of times. In our room, everything we needed including plenty of towels and pillows! The coffee/tea station was very nice as well - not a cheap-ee deal as you see most places that provide complimentary beverages. Candies - great tough! We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor locking was a must - nice as our room was at far end of things.”

• Great location in Matthews, very comfortable.
• There is nothing that I did not like.

“Great location in Matthews. Comfortable. Clean. Friendly staff. My wife and I just needed a decent place to stay in Matthews that was economical. This Courtyard Marriott was perfect. I would stay there again.”

• Off main highway, clean rooms, good service and good facilities.
• shopping and restaurants were not within walking distance, car is necessary.

• Location to our ultimate destination and close to various shopping and food.
• Would have preferred a microwave in the room.

• Unusual room layout.
• No mini-fridge in room, cost for breakfast.

“Our experience reflects a hotel that was clean, well-staffed, and friendly for travelers. The hotel was sold-out our first night yet, we had no issue with noise from other guests. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Making the breakfast free to guest would be my only request.”

• Very good buffet breakfast with a cook to order egg chef.
• Absolutely nothing!

“This hotel was as good as any I've stayed at for location, staff friendliness and room comfort. I especially enjoyed the leisure breakfast bar that had a wide variety of foods to choose from. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Charlotte/Matthews area.”

• The person at the front desk was not helpful and argued with several in the party about issues that he was not correct about.

• Hotel staff were very helpful and professional.

“First room I had checked in, the air conditioner was not working. I called the front desk and immediately, another room was ready to go without going back down 3 floors with luggage to the front desk. They ran a card key up which was very helpful.”

• Good location to interstate and restaurants. Nice hot tub spar and swimming pool, along with exercise area.
• Heavy traffic on the main highway Rt. 74 had to go out back way to side street.

• The hotel room and the common areas were welcoming, comfortable, decorated, and arranged well. I would recommend this hotel and return myself.
• I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. I found the staff to be welcoming and helpful. The layout of the common areas made small group interactions easy and comfortable and as a result were well utilized by the guests. Our room, while not large, was well decorated, comfortable and clean. I will stay at this hotel again in the future.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly, I have a disability and the staff was very helpful in assigning my room close to the elevator.

“I was very pleased with my stay and the assistance of the customer who checked me in. When he saw that I was disabled he automatically assigned me a room close to the elevators without being asked to do so. I will be staying again at this fine establishment. Thank you.”
