• The staff was accommodating. Initially crude but later friendly and cordial. The manager wasn't very friendly.
• The patrons!

• It was convenient to restaurants in the area. They had a pretty good continental breakfast.
• It appears to be aging and in need of some attention. Not terribly bad. Still acceptable.

“Generally speaking the hotel was satisfactory. The location was convenient to numerous restaurants. The continental breakfast was pretty good. Not a bad stay.”

• Clean facility, friendly manager, location adequate, price adequate.
• Free breakfast buffet was horrible and temperature of restaurant too hot.

“Hotel staff was friendly and worked me into a better room at no extra cost. Location was adequate and the noise level was minimum. Rooms were clean and comfortable.”

• Best check-in ever.
• Breakfast room had no A/C. Very hot.

“Check-in was wonderful. Didn't ask for my credit card or try to re-charge me. Breakfast bar had eggs, waffles, etc. Very good food, but A/C wasn't working. Very hot. Good hotel for overnight stop while traveling.”

• The hotel was clean, breakfast good, the shower good, and great pillows.
• Sounds trite, but there was no ice scoop in ice machine.

“We liked the hotel -- it was what we expected it to be for the star rating. It was clean, easily accessible from highway, had a good breakfast, good shower with good water pressure, and we really liked the pillows.”

• Dirty/stained towels.

“For a Ramada, it was kind of run down, they had a swing set and monkey bars on site but would not let my children on for fear of breaking (weather warped). Pool was very dirty and not open (end of march). Was very pleased with complimentary hot breakfast.”

• We called the hotel upon making the reservation and they said they had a King smoking, we called you and when you called them they said they didn't.
• We called you and told you we would not be using the reservation.

“We also called the hotel and said we would not be staying.”

• Hot breakfast bar, nice dining area for continental breakfast.
• In need of repair, damage to walls, old, not clean. A one star at best.

“A great location, but older and in need of updating and repair. Not overly clean, but acceptable. A one star hotel, for a quick stop over when traveling. Nice hot breakfast bar and dining room.”

• Pet friendly.
• The room was dirty.

“Check in took longer then it should have. Staff was not overly friendly. The room needed to be cleaned, dead bugs and dust throughout. Shower had soap scum and 'body hair' from previous guest. Items on the free breakfast were stale.”

• The breakfast was awesome!
• Hotel owners were not cordial. Iron tethered with cords too short. Silly fees for towels.

“The hotel is adequate but by no means exceptional. The owners of the facility were business like but definitely not cordial. They serve a good breakfast, but you are not permitted to eat it outside of the dining hall i.e. you cannot take it to your room. The iron was tethered to the ironing board, but the cord was so short that it was difficult to stretch the iron the length of the board. The ceiling had a brown stain spanning the width of the room. I checked in for two nights. After the first night, I returned to my room to discover my key card no longer worked. I was not impressed by my stay here!”

• The location was the only thing good about the hotel.
• This hotel had a strong dog odor, the air condition did not work well, and breakfast was less than to be desired.

“If you like pets in your home and do not mind the smell they leave behind, this hotel is for you. Otherwise, stay away. Also this establishment air conditioning system did not work properly. It was so hot in our room, along with the doggy odor, it was unbearable. The only reason we stayed was because we could not get a refund on our money and we were too tired from our trip to do anything else.”

• First floor accommodation - park at door.
• Not in good condition - construction inside and cleanliness.

“I was shocked to find out I could have stayed for $10 less than I paid if I had used the travel coupon in the Travel Saver, and other Travel magazines free at rest stops. I asked the Ramada for $10 discount, but they said you had already paid and they could not change the amount for me. I was very, very disappointed!”

• Honestly, nothing except it had hot showers.
• Location, poor wireless, leaking pipes, flooded room.

“Experience was disappointing. Somewhere a pipe leaked water into our room sometime around 2am. Carpet was wet; my son¿s baggage was soaked at the bottom. Hotel staff apologized, but did not offer another room until I told them the water was getting worse. Did not get the new room till close to 0330am. Hotel did not offer any reimbursement/discounts for inconvenience. WIRELESS service is poor. Connection signal weak at best. Location had me watching my vehicle from time to time. Color TVs at least 8-10 years old with poor sound, and cable channel reception not clear on most. Food choices limited. Burger King, Waffle House, McDonalds. The better restaurants were on the other end of town. Was told Pizza Hut/Dominoes really bad in town. Go with Bucks for Pizza. Bucks were Excellent.”

• Good price for room, comfy bed.
• Under staffed for continental breakfast.

“Overall, clean hotel with comfortable bed. Woke up to loud noise in AM made by landscapers. Disappointing continental breakfast--half the reason I choose a 2-star--only one worker who was clearly overwhelmed by the forty hungry travels. No hot food or coffee available when I arrived at breakfast. I gave up after 15 minutes of waiting. Hotel is triangulated by three large fireworks stands--scabby surroundings! The room was a clean place to sleep, but not sleep in. I'll probably avoid staying in Walterboro again, even though it was convenient.”
