• Friendly staff.
• 1 day we had to get our own towels & toilet paper.

“The hotel was OK, I wouldn't stay there again. The room wasn't very clean and the last night there, our room wasn't cleaned so at the end of the day when we got in, we had no clean towels or toilet paper. We had to go to the lobby and pick it up.”

• I liked the cleaniness of the room and the comfort of the bed.
• I missed having a refrigerator and microwave in the room and no free breakfast..

“My overall experience was great. The young lady who checked us in and out was very professional(she had problem customers both times) handling everything quite well. It made our checkin and checkout a little longer, but I was so impressed with her patience and professionalism that I didn't mind, plus it gave me a chance to write a review since I am a travel agent.”

• No problem checking in and everything was as expected.
• Room keys stop working. Had to go back down to lobby to get keys reset. But hotel staff was excellent.

• Great location! Easy access to leisure activities and restaraunts. Decent hotel for the price I paid on priceline.

“This Holiday Inn is far from a 3star hotel. There are much nicer 2 star hotels, holiday inn express being one. The hotel is clean, but out-dated. Also, the showers desperately need bath mats. We requested one from the front desk, and at the same time we were down there, 1 person staying there was at the desk requesting one as well, and stated she fell in the shower. However, we were told only the floors above 5 had bath mats, and they had none to offer us. Also, desk staff seemed unorganized and sometimes had an attitude. Maintenance staff was very nice. He brought us a refrigerator and took our keys down to the desk to get them re-activated. Overall, the hotel was fine. I would probably recommend it to others, ONLY if bidding on priceline.”

• Free WiFi internet in room.

“Fairly clean for an older hotel. Beds not comfortable. Rooms were small. There was nothing about this hotel that made it a three star hotel. I have stayed at three hotels so far and I am assuming this review is for the Holiday Inn University.”

• Room too small and wallpaper peeling off walls.

“The neighbors were loud and I had to call down to the office 3 times and they continued to be loud. My baby was awakened by the noise. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and wouldn't advise anyone I know to stay there. I would like my money back or a complimentary stay somewhere else for all the trouble we experienced.”

• They allowed me an early check-in.
• Restaurant. Food quality declined since my last visit.

“Front desk and housekeeping staff were just fine. The room was clean and comfortable. I had absolutely dreadful food and service in the restaurant for one meal. Another time, the restaurant had closed early. Menu items lesser quality and not as well prepared as when I last visited this hotel. Hotel had two obnoxious groups in-house during this visit--each group seemed to take over the entire hotel, instead of being kept together. Lots of running in hallways, shouting, playing in the elevators etc.”

• I must say the staff was super nice; room clean; food beyond excellent.
• The bed spread was outdated.

“I was worried about the hotel at first, but the staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The cook actually cared about the presentation and quality of his food and came out to inquire if to our liking. The neighborhood was very nice and safe. I would definitely recommend to any one on a budget or looking to stay in a welcoming, clean and convenient environment. I have stayed in 4 Star Hotels before, and this stay was up there with them.”
