“The hotel facilities were excellent, but the best thing about the stay was the outstanding customer service experience. From the greeters at the front door, to the young ladies who greeted us by name when we approached the desk, to Roy who checked us, all provided outstanding service. Paul, the concierge was wonderfully helpful throughout the week; Linda at the front desk who helped us when we decided to extend our stay was wonderful. Everybody we encountered smiled, greeted us, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was an outstanding experience and when we return to Hilton Head we will make a point of staying at the Marriott Resort again.”

“The staff was more than helpful & went out of there way to satisfy our request. Facilities were very clean and neat. The surroundings are very beautiful and relaxing. A lot to do and see if you like to explore. Shopping, restaurants, and activities are all around you. We would definitely stay there again.”

“We stayed here in April with three boys, ages 16, 17, and 23. There was plenty for them to do, from basketball, swimming in one of the many pools, playing in the waves on the wonderful beach, etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. Be sure to rent bikes, but not from the hotel. You can get them outside the hotel property for 20 for the week. I'd stay here again, without a doubt.”

“The hotel is very old and was clearly under construction. For example, the elevator corridor looked as if all the trim had been removed and the lights and buttons were just slammed into the drywall. The bathroom caulk was in terrible condition around the tub and toilet area. Also, the bed linens were horrible. The thinning sheets kept coming off the mattress while we slept and the pillows were toddler sized. Even the duvet cover had holes and seams ripping. The TV was the old big box and not a flat screen. Overall the room size was ok and slept my family of five quite comfortably. The heated indoor pool is more like a kiddy's pool - and the water was cloudy (gross). The outdoor pool was much nicer, but since it was mid April it was too cool to enjoy it. I can't say enough about the location - easy access to the beach was a major plus. There are even hammocks on the edge of the property to enjoy the horizon. My kids had a great time (7, 6, & 2) there was even a clown near the pool that played with the children. The apples at the front desk were a nice touch and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Even with all of the complaints, I would stay there again.”

“I would never stay in this hotel again or recommend it. It was shockingly bad for a Marriott resort: 1) A woman knocked on the door in the morning, waking us, to ask if we wanted to stay another night and handed us our bill, instead of sliding it under the door, silently, as is usually done in all hotels. 2) we had no 'Do not disturb' sign to put on our door to prevent the above situation. 3) Bathrobe was stained. 4) Carpet was stained. 5) Bed skirt was stained. 6) No shampoo or lotion in bathroom. But they did provide a half empty obviously used bottle of conditioner. I asked a maid for shampoo but she didn't give us any when she cleaned our room. 7) The silver shower fixtures hadn't been cleaned for a long time, covered in spots. 8) The room service coffee carafe was spotted and not clean. 9) The paper breakfast menu, to leave outside on the door, was ragged with a huge coffee stain. 10) The room didn't look tidy and clean when we entered, things were askew. We were very disappointed with this hotel.”

“If not looking for simple relaxing stay, this hotel not for you due to lack of nearby activities. Traffic a little heavy to consider "safe" bike riding for children even though biking appears to be popular.”

“We had a good time at the Marriott Resort the staff was always friendly and helpful. The indoor heated pool is fabulous and we loved all the decking and pools that fronted on the Atlantic Ocean.”

“Beautiful hotel. We did not have an ocean front/view room but it did not matter due to the very nice outdoor amenities. Hilton head island is very classy and we definitely want to go back and would stay at this resort again.”

“Staff was very nice to my grandchildren and room was very comfortable. Ten dollar a day parking seemed a bit stiff but they did not make us pay when I complained. Excellent stretch of beach.”

“This was a very nice hotel, but we needed sheets for our sofa bed 2 nights and both times it took them 1 hr. to arrive. Also, we ordered room service for dinner and it also took over an hour to arrive, which is not good considering I had 3 very hungry children!!”

“Having a view of the restaurant exhaust system and a garage wall. I woke up early on the last morning of my 3 night stay to wet clothes from an inch of water in my room as a result of an air conditioning or condensation problem. I was offered a mere $50 credit. A credit they expected me to spend at their hotel evidently. The front desk proceeded to reduce that credit to $20 by charging me $10 per day for parking. I would have made a forceful insistence to compensate appropriately. Instead, I have decided to use a quiet approach to advertise how they treated me. However, anything that you can do to help make this right would be appreciated. I was not the only guest on my floor that had a problem with a flooded room. I wonder how they treated him?”
